Stayed Sep 5, 2024The property was mostly what we expected except for the parking and the air conditioning. We had to park in the back of the building near an alley way where a few other people parked near their homes. When we arrived, I did not even need to use the code to enter because the door was unlocked. We did not feel safe entering and I immediately let the owner know. We didn’t know if someone was in there, if anything was missing, etc. and we did not want to be responsible. It didn’t seem like it really mattered to the owner and he did not even apologize. The portable air conditioners in the unit were also loud. Other than that, our stay was fine.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025The property looks exactly like the photos. A great location and super easy to get around from there. The host was also very easy to communicate with. Even though it’s on top of a restaurant we were never disturbed.

Stayed Jun 27, 2024The Freshwater Flat is perfectly located in Downtown Douglas. Super close to the Kalamazoo River. My partner and I enjoyed the proximity to shops, restaurants, fishing and Saugatuck. The flat is perfect for a couple. I would highly recommend this property for a West Michigan getaway!
