THE SPACE
Relax in this beautiful apartment located in an unspoiled medieval village castle, just 10 minutes from Tivoli and 35 minutes by car from Rome.

PRIVATE INTERNET AND WORKSPACE
A beautifully restored historic apartment within the walls of the majestic Castello di Brancaccio, a medieval village (borgo) nestled in the beautiful, unspoiled countryside and rolling hills of Lazio. Visit this quaint and idyllic Italian town, sample local food and wine, and hike the trails lined with olive groves, Roman aqueducts, and rivers—all just 10 minutes from Tivoli, Villa d’Este, and Villa Adriana (UNESCO World Heritage Sites) and a 30-minute drive from the center of Rome. Relax and wander the cobblestone streets in the old town of San Gregorio da Sassola.

Experience the beauty and authenticity of a timeless and protected setting featuring authentic Italian architecture. Enjoy breakfast at one of the local cafes or have a private breakfast on one of the terraces overlooking the rolling hills covered in olive groves.
Wake up to the sound of birds, well-rested after sleeping in the most comfortable beds you’ve ever experienced. Enjoy coffee on your balcony while taking in the breathtaking view of the mountain hillside. Experience the slow life and savor traditional Italian cheeses, prosciutto, bread, and olive oil. Take a stroll to pick up fresh bread daily from the small local shops. Enjoy your favorite afternoon aperitif at the café in the local town square. Or let me plan a picnic lunch—when the weather is pleasant—for you and your partner, surrounded by rolling hills, ancient ruins, and fields of olive groves, for an additional fee. We can also arrange a private cooking class with one of the lovely local home cooks so you can learn to make homemade Italian pasta. As an additional service, let me stock your kitchen with produce, meats, eggs, and dairy from local farmers—all available upon arrival—so you can prepare meals or create your very own charcuterie board.

GUEST ACCESS
You’ll have quiet street-level access to the airy, private vacation apartment, accessible via just two steps. There is a lovely, well-stocked kitchen, one bathroom with a shower and luxurious toiletries, and a large combined living and dining area. There is a 55-inch smart TV with Netflix, Disney+, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, and YouTube. Use the private internet and compact workspace with a desk if you need to work.
Your two bedrooms offer the most glorious views; one features a balcony where you can sit and read, enjoy your morning coffee, or savor a charcuterie board made with lovely local produce and a bottle of wine.
And if the sights or dining in Rome or Tivoli beckon, I’ll make private arrangements for you to suit your schedule. There is good bus and train service, so while a car is desirable, it is not essential. When one first thinks of Italy, one thinks of rolling hills and romantic countryside bathed in ethereal light, along with copious amounts of wine and cheese. For those who decide to visit this hilltop village (or “borgo,” as it’s called here), this is a dream come true—and more. It’s located close enough to Tivoli and Rome that you don’t feel completely isolated, yet you still get to escape the chaos of city life. Your neighborhood has a local bakery, stores where you can buy groceries or anything else you might need during your stay, as well as all the most incredible local delicacies, such as wine, cheese, and locally grown produce. There are also cafes, an ATM, and a pharmacy—all just a stone’s throw from your front door.
Not to mention fabulous trails for hiking and serious cycling, as well as rivers and waterfalls.

Other things to note
