Stayed Sep 15, 2024This flat was fine. Location is good for access to Edinburgh but be aware its right next to department store skips which are filled noisily and replaced every day. facilities in the flat were excellent.

Stayed Aug 9, 2023ARRIVING: We arrived after 9:00pm to find no key in the lockbox. Stuck outside in a dark alley near large trash bins, we called and were directed to open the lockboxes for the two other units. Our code didn't work, so we were told they would get back to us. After 20 minutes without hearing anything, I called back. We were finally given the code for the other lockboxes, but they were also empty. It took another 20 minutes of waiting in the dark to get the code for the lockbox to the trash room, which we had to search to find a fifth lockbox. Finally we found a key that opened the door. At this point, we asked why they couldn't account for the missing keys out of concerns for safety. We were spoken to rudely and never given a great answer. THE SMELL: The unit smelled rancid. Upon entering, we were still on the phone, so we complained, but were dismissively told to open the window to air the smell out. The unit is above bars that were emptying bottles and trash in the alleyway all night, so this was unpleasant and didn't solve the problem. We realized the smell was likely a septic issue, coming from the closet behind the toilet, which is located right next to the bed. The smell never went away and they did nothing to fix it, despite us telling them about the issue again. Other issues: the power went out in the whole unit when we turned off the shower. It was unclear how to restore power, but this happened in our final hours so we gave up.
