Great Location

Such a perfect spot! Right in the heart of the city with a private garden and two private decks to enjoy. The apartment is roomy and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and decorated with fun local art. Communication was great. Overall a simply fantastic stay!!

This property was perfect - a nice size, great kitchen and living space, comfy bedrooms and spacious bathroom. It rained much of our stay so we did not spend time on the deck. Everyday, we walked around town; we were close to shops, restaurants, and the farmer’s market. After days exploring national parks, the laundry room was an important consideration for staying here. I took a walk up the street to mail my postcards. Highly recommend.

I've stayed here many times over the years, and I love it! The hosts are perfect and responsive. The apartment is always clean with everything we might need, and it's located within walking distance to everything fun!Whenever I plan to visit Port Townsend, this apartment is the first place I try to book! It's popular for a reason, so plan ahead.

Dave’s place is a gem. It could not be more perfectly located near superb places to eat and drink and the heart of downtown. It he place itself is beautifully decorated. Very easy to use the fireplace / stove. Beds very comfortable. Dave was very helpful with recommendations including the Fountain Cafe right next door which was outstanding. Will definitely come back.

We had a lovely stay at the Suite by the Fountain. Our host, Dave, could not have been more accommodating. He was flexible with our booking and responded promptly to every question or request. The suite itself is extremely comfortable and well-appointed. The layout and space of the unit was perfect for the two of us and could easily hold 4 renters. Beds were comfortable although the pillows were a little soft to my liking. (Maybe provide an option of a couple of firmer pillows.) The location is absolutely ideal. Short walk to all that downtown and uptown have to offer. We enjoyed tasty dinners at The Fountain Cafe (right next door), and Betta Bar and Grill, listened to live music at The Bishop Hotel, and tasted wine and cocktails at Vintage and The In-Between. Also managed to catch a movie at the historic Rose Theater - all recommended!

We just spent our second Thanksgiving in Port Townsend, at the suite. We love the clean cozy apartment so close to the water. We treasure our time here.

As long as there are no on-street parking issues, the space is fairly accessible, but I would be hesitant if I had balance or fitness issues. It's accessed from an open air walkway (and a flight of stairs with 20 treads) to the vrbo entrance from the street.

Place was cozy and comfortable. Hosts were very responsive and accessible. Kitchen was large and well equipped. Location was perfect. Would happily stay again.

Absolutely perfect location for a weekend in PT, walkable to everything and nestled into the hillside. Very minimal amenities across the board, would recommend bringing full toiletry kit & kitchen essentials. Dave was super responsive and helpful, even gave us a partial refund when the TV crapped out on us. We will definitely be returning and recommending this place to others!

What a gem! We had a lovely stay. The apartment is well equipped and the location is amazing. We look forward to returning to PT and would stay here again.

This rental is very nice. It is very clean, comfortable, quiet and beautifully decorated. The kitchen has everything you would need. There is a beautiful stained-glass window in the main bedroom and a fireplace in the living room. There are thoughtful touches everywhere. We enjoyed out stay very much.

This place is adorable inside, loved how close it is to town and places to eat. We really enjoyed our time there. The only complaint was the bed. The main room should have a King bed or at least a Queen where you don't roll to the other end. We slept the first night together, but did not get a good night sleep so, we slept the other two nights separately so we could sleep. Once you have a King bed it is really hard to go back to a queen bed, I admit. The place is beautiful and is very well kept! My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

This treehouse suite is so lovely. Such a private space in the center of town with restaurants, the theatre, and the water within a block, yet looking out the full wall of windows off the living room, you would swear you were in the woods. The suite has a mid century vibe to it with an open floor plan, fireplace for those chilly evenings and lovely private deck to sit on. We had deer every day off of our deck. I love the privacy yet proximity to everything. Our favorite place in Port Townsend.

Really excellent communication with the hosts, and it stood in contrast to a rental at another booking that felt very corporate. This communication, hosting and location felt very personal with great service. This location is a gem for anyone looking to stay in Port Townsend.

My family of four had such a nice time here. It's a nice size, and the location is perfect. We walked all over town from there with little kids because it's close to everything. We loved the big windows overlooking the deck, where we could see a fuzzy little baby deer who visited every evening! Property owners were very easy to communicate with and even offered flexibility with check in/out times. I'd happily stay there again.

This flat is superbly well-located in downtown Port Townshend, steps from shops, restaurants and close to uptown. We found it perfect for our purposes, and highly recommend it to others.

I come to PT quite often to visit my elderly parents. This is by far my favorite place to stay when I'm traveling with my teenager. Plenty of space, fabulous location, comfy, cozy, and very well appointed (they even have a salad spinner!)Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay very much as it was extremely convenient to walk to all of the shops downtown. Was fun to be able to look out the windows and see the activity on the street below. Bedrooms are a nice size with comfortable beds and apartment was very clean and well organized. Our hosts were communicative and provided easy to follow check in instructions with some flexibility on the check in/out times. The kitchen is well stocked and has fun colors of Fiestaware for meals. Note that if it's raining, the wood deck can be very slippery and though the description states hot tub, there was not a hot tub there. They do have a bathtub in a spacious bathroom. All in all would recommend for a lovely getaway! You are right in the heart of downtown and uptown is a quick walk up the fountain stairs, which the apartment overlooks.

Our Thanksgiving holiday was better than we hoped for. The location was perfect, for spontaneous trips walking around town. We love being so close to the waterfront. We could spend time with our family on Thanksgiving and then have space to enjoy time with just my husband, daughter, and I. We especially love having a 2nd bedroom for our 9 year old daughter. The apartment was spacious and well appointed for all our needs.This was our best visit. an forhappy

This place has everything! Ideal central PT location, fully fitted out with everything one needs, super clean, easy-to-contact hosts. No complaints or concerns about anything.

Wow - what a great stay for our annual vacation with our friends. We (4 in total) came to Port Townsend for the Kinetic Sculpture Race and found this gem right in the heart of the historic district. We are usually in the woods and off the beaten track vacationers so staying in town isn't our typical digs. No worries though. This spot is unique; a second-floor rental, tucked into a lush hill that offers privacy and an outdoor deck surrounded by green. And even though we were in town during a festival, the rental was quiet, making it a great place to unwind. The house offered everything we needed; comfortable beds, a well-appointed kitchen for cooking, and cozy spaces for visiting. A bonus was the separate office where I took a Zoom call without bothering others. The location is great. Everything we needed was within easy walking distance; the Wine Seller, Aldrich's Market, and more restaurants and bars than we could visit in one weekend. We especially enjoyed the Saturday Farmer's Market and strolling around town to look at all the Victorian Architecture. Initially, we were a bit concerned about the stairs to get to the unit, as one in our party was 6 weeks out from hip replacement, but the stairs are very sturdy with good handrails, so they presented no problem. On-street parking in front of the unit was also easy to obtain. We had a great time and this unit ranks as one of our favorites. Hoping to return in the future!

The penthouse suite was everything my friends and I had hoped it would be. The location was perfect, came out of the building and a block away from the main street. Also close to the Saturday Farmers Market. It was clean and had everything we needed. Dave, our host, was a great communicator and helpful in recommending places to eat. I look forward to the next time I can visit PT and stay there. Highly recommended it.

Have stayed here before. Love it. Lots of room for 4 women. Has everything you need. Have to say, water pressure is awesome! Able to walk everywhere. Only drove to grocery store to stock up. Great time!

Staying here was terrific. You’re tucked away in a private world then walk down to the center of the Historic District with so much to see and some many great restaurants. We had a great time and love everything about the apartment. 5 STARS!!

Fantastic location!

I love everything about this place. The location is great, it's clean and comfortable. The kitchen is set up for actually cooking (salad spinner, usable knives, veggie peeler, two kinds of ways to make coffee and everything else you need!) We hope to come back again next year

The Suite at the Fountain is our favorite place to stay in Port Townsend, a hidden mid century gem in the heart of downtown. The fireplace is lovely on a cool night and the openness of the living room and kitchen to the deck gives the feel of being in a treehouse in the forest. Don’t be surprised to find deer nestled in the bushes off the deck. The Suite is just steps from the wonderful Starlight Theatre and delicious restaurants. Take the strenuous flight of stairs on the other side of the property to the uptown Farmers Market and gorgeous views of the Sound. Dave and Sheila are wonderful hosts and we look forward to many more trips to this delightful Suite.

Loved, loved, loved the location. So close to everything. We just parked the car and walked everywhere. This is a lovely older apartment that is well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked with pretty much every utensil/dish you could need. The listing does say there is a gas grill...but there wasn't. That was really okay with us. It was a no cooking weekend. There are so many great places to eat out in PT.
