Domus Claudia - Holiday Homes

Our hosts were the best in Syracuse! I absolutely recommend this place if you have a car and still want to explore Ortigia - it’s the best base! The place itself is perfect for exploring by day and playing cards and chilling at home at night.

The property was beautiful and well appointed. The bathrooms are modern. Be prepared for a lot of stairs (from the lobby, up two floors and also inside between the bedrooms/lower game room and upper kitchen/family room:patio). There are groceries and restaurants within walking distance (3-7 blocks). The bus stop on Corso Gelone can get you quickly to Ortigia.

Wonderful stay at this apartment. Stefania & Salvo are such nice hosts. Parking is easy in the neighborhood if you have a car and walking into town or Ortigia is only 20 minutes. Apartment has everything you need and a great terrace. Totally recommend this place.

Extremely nice apt well equipted! Nicely furnished and very vlean! Loved the patio for our morning coffee! Three senior ladies enjoyed the experience! The trip up the stairs with luggage was a bit tough but we are regular travelers that excrpt that! Loved the city and our side trip to Greek ruins at Agrigento was awesome. I had visited the site back in 2015 and it has had wonderful improvements and additional areas uncovered to make it even better! I had made numerous day trips to Siracusa bringing different friends on my last two visits - this was my first to have an apartment in the city! Much to see and do!

We had a fabulous stay in Siracusa. Despite some transport arrival issues (and not arriving until 10pm) Stefania and Salvo were ready to meet us. The property was really well appointed. All facilities were excellent (as were the gratefully received supplies of cake, fruit, tea and coffee). Due to our late arrival Stefania also kept in contact to ensure we had all the local info we needed. The entire property was amazing with lots of space for 3 adults and 1 teen. However I think the roof terrace was my favourite area and many hours, late into the night, were spent there. The location was perfect for accessing Ortigia, as well as the archaelogical park. Thank you Stefania and Salvo, we will return.

Our family of four were pleasantly surprised at just how lovely this apartment was. There is ac in all the rooms (not just one in a small bedroom like some places who say they have it but really don’t). There were more amenities and toiletries than we ever needWe were a little further afield than we might have wanted but it was worth the 10min walk. Her recommendation of restaurants. We truly did have the best pizza of our lives at Pizzaria Schiticchio.

Great apartment - wished we were staying longer than one night as soon as we walked in, just to be able to enjoy the venue more. Fairly easy walk to Ortigia, and Stefania had great recommendations for restaurants. Next time through the area, I will definitely check availability of Domus Claudia!
