Doc's Lake house 1st floor, 2 bedroom apartment

This apartment is super cute and in a lovely area between a lake and a river. The host was a delight and gave us a phone call to welcome us. Unfortunately due to the weather this time of year, we could not enjoy any of the water activities but it was so nice to walk along the water. We would have loved for our plans to have allowed a longer stay. We hope to have the opportunity to stay at Dic’s Lake Side Apartment again.

Easy drive to Middlebury Snowball, the owner was very communicative and helpful in giving tips and suggestions.

Beautiful location...creek running behind, lake in front. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. If / when we return to the area, this will be our preferred place to stay! Not far from Middlebury, so lots of great dining options. A small grocery store just a short distance away, however this is closed during the winter as it is primarily a summer resort destination. Personally, if I was there in winter, that is why I would like it! Must be very quiet with few residences occupied once the cold sets in.

A great fine! Hosts thought of every thing. Bedrooms great Kitchen Well-equipped Great site on Lake Dunmore and canoe and kayaks for your use.

Cool little cabin feel. Comfy beds. Beautiful stream in the back yard with gorgeous lake across the street. Walk down the street to cute pub. Great little kitchen and comfy living room. Front and back porches to sit on. Great for a weekend getaway :)

Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. The property has easy access to both the lake and a lovely backyard stream. We plan to return.

Picked this place based on everyone else’s reviews and was not disappointed! Had a great stay with everything we could have needed and a super helpful host. Convenient to the Middlebury Snowbowl where my kids were skiing. We also were there when it was very very cold and we were quite cozy and warm at night. Would definitely stay again!

We booked two nights but the weather stopped us from arriving on the first night booked. I didn’t know I had to check pet to apply fee when booking but texted owner about the dog and said we would settle in person. Because the weather caused us to miss our first night , owner kindly waived our pet fee. Thanks Doc

The cabin was immaculately clean and had everything that we needed for our stay. Location was perfect with the lake across the street. Gary and Missy were awesome hosts and very receptive to any questions we had. Would 100% look to return sometime in the future.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! Doc & Missy are incredible hosts. Their cabin is so charming and welcoming. We can’t wait to come back again!

Doc’s Lake House is on a beautiful and quiet lake. My family and I regret not staying longer! It is well-stocked with anything you might need (coffee, spices, breakfast items, etc.), which was lovely! Two separate fire pits and water crafts were available for entertainment. The host met us when we arrived and showed us around. He’s very nice and fun to talk with! It was such a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Doc’s lake house on Lake Dunmore. The place had everything we needed and we enjoyed having access to kayaks and a paddle boat for the lake.

Missy and Doc have done a great job with this charming historic building and property. I especially enjoyed reading about the area's past and how the building started and evolved. The house is interesting, cozy and lovingly cared for. There is a large yard behind the house and another in front directly on the lake with lots of space to soak in the views and relax. Just loved it!

Very clean and comfortable rental.

Doc was courteous and kind! The location was perfectly placed between Brandon and Middlebury. I was extremely cozy despite the cold and snowy weather outside. Doc helped me get out of the driveway without having to worry about the snow. The property, with all of its charm and age, was exceptionally cleaned and comfortable. My dog was also a welcome friend at this property, making my trip easy to navigate.. I would love to return!
