More signage needed to find this unit since it’s tucked behind Southbound restaurant. When you enter the driveway, veer left at the “Y” and preferably have a very small car as it is a tight squeeze, very challenging to park. The unit is a basement & could have used a dehumidifier or two. Kitchen was well/stocked with modern appliances. Really needs space in the bathrooms to set your cosmetic bag, curling irons, etc. I’ll attach a pic of the pedestal sink showing the

The Garden level property at the Charlestonian was perfect for our weekend away! It was tucked away and private and very spacious inside. The decor was really nicely done and had a certain charm! It was conveniently located to the downtown. Would stay again!

Nicely decorated, comfy beds, great location. Only downside during our stay there were noisy people overhead. Other than that, great basement apartment!

We stayed with 5 girls for a bachelorette's party in Charleston and it was the best location for walking to King Street and other fun locations. It had 2 restaurants close by, a cute bakery and breakfast bagel spot. The place had plenty of room and the management team is the best. Communication was great and they did a great job with questions and items that came up.

We visit Charleston quite a bit and this was one of the better properties. Very nice restaurant on site. Short walking distance to king street. Lots of small coffee shops and breakfast places close by. Would def stay here again.

The staff made our check in effortless by meeting us upon arrival. Elizabeth helped us with our bags and explained everything we needed to know about the place. Including that the door automatically locks when closed. That evening around 10 PM, our family enjoyed the porch area and one of us accidentally closed the door without having a key with us. We immediately called and someone came over within a few minutes to let us back inside. We really appreciate that they went over and above for us. Definitely would stay again. The Southbound restaurant is footsteps away and the best meal that we had during our visit.

Loved having three bathrooms for our girls trip, with cold water in the fridge when we arrived on a VERY hot August day. We were greeted when we arrived and were even able to check in a few hours early, because your place was ready. Everything was very seamless and the location was perfect for walking to get coffee + bagels in the morning and grabbing a salad + sandwich for lunch.

The property was a quaint little unit that accurately described and in a great location. The property manager was able to let us in early which was nice and came back several hours later after we checked in. The kitchen was missing some essentials (e.g., a cutting board). There were a few other slight annoyances such as the fan in one of the bathrooms was dripping dirty water and there was some beeping coming from outside that we were able to hear at night. The door was constantly getting stuck and difficult to open and close. The appliances were also not user friendly. Overall, good spot for a group that wants to do walking around and exploring.

Our family absolutely loved the basement apartment of this charming house. It provides all you could need, with plenty of space, and we loved how it's decorated. We would definitely stay here again. Hosts are fabulous with providing tips about the area.

Had a lovely stay in Charleston. Property was as described with more privacy than expected. The mini-split ACs in each room ensured we were cool even in the heat of the day.

We enjoyed our stay at the Charlestonian. We had plenty of room with six women and the kitchen area was well stocked with necessities. Cute quiet little neighborhood. Although we could have walked to a lot of the bars and restaurants close by it was really too hot in the South Carolina heat of summer. Not to worry, Ubers were plentiful. I was a little concerned because I’ve never stayed in a “basement “apartment before, but it was quiet and the air conditioning and fans worked great. There was plenty of sunlight from the windows. It was not really what I would think a basement would be. We felt safe and at ease, which is a major concern for me when renting a VRBO.

Came for a long weekend with friends and loved our stay. The six of us were very comfortable and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. Our host was helpful, attentive and accommodating. The place is only a few blocks away from King St so we walked a lot which we enjoyed since we wanted to explore the city. The kitchen could use some more items for cooking (cutting board, tongs) but overall the place was well stocked, very clean, well maintained. We really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience Charleston!
