    I booked a stay at a property based on the description provided in the listing, which advertised a rural, peaceful environment in close proximity to key landmarks. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I discovered the property is not located in a rural setting at all. In reality, it is situated within an industrial complex surrounded by low-income housing, deteriorated roads, and difficult access to the main thoroughfares. It took us nearly 25 minutes just to navigate out of the area and reach the nearest main road — a stark contrast to the convenient location that was advertised. While the property itself may have been as described on the inside, we never stepped in due to the nature of the surrounding environment. It was not the amenities or interior that were problematic, but the false and misleading representation of the location. Directly adjacent to the property was a carpentry shop with piles of wood scraps visible, contributing to an unsafe and uncomfortable feeling. While the area may feel familiar and safe for locals, as a visitor, it was not a place where I felt secure or comfortable staying. We immediately contacted the host to express our concerns. However, the host does not live in town and instead relies on a local relative to manage guest access. Rather than attempting to find a fair solution, the host was dismissive and ultimately refused to negotiate or provide a partial refund, stating bluntly that it was a “take it or leave it” situation.
