Stayed Dec 9, 2024The apartment was well thought out and well equipped. Although we didn’t meet Grégory, everything went smoothly because he had sent out comprehensive information in advance of our stay. The apartment is at the quiet end of town but less than 10 minutes walk from the centre. Turckheim is a charming old town with Christmas traditions. At this time of year the restaurants get fully booked for the evenings, so it is advisable to book in advance. The Stammtisch is larger than most, so there is a better chance of finding space there and we the enjoyed the meals, however we would particularly recommend L'Autrefois.

Stayed Oct 7, 2023Our third trip to Alsace and first stay in Turckheim. The train station is literally a few min walk and provides easy access to Colmar, Strasbourg, etc. So many great must see villages, must try wines, must see vineyards and tasting rooms and great restaurants. Our host, Gregory was extremely helpful with suggestions and area advice; just a delight ! We highly recommend

Stayed Apr 2, 2022Very pretty and cozy little gite in a picture perfect setting. The location in Turckheim is an ideal location from which to explore the area of Alsace and the vosges mountains. We loved it!

Stayed Jul 28, 2018This property was perfect for our holiday. The village of Turckheim was beautiful and we were brilliantly situated near a boulangerie and with perfect view of the evening visit of the nightwatchman. There was a great choice of places to eat within walking distance and so many beautiful towns, villages and great scenery to admire. Gregory was so helpful and the air conditioning was a godsend.

Stayed Jun 2, 2018We spent two weeks in this comfortable, well equipped apartment. It’s position in Turckheim is ideal with lovely walks around the town and vineyards and plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. There are also two Boulangeries and a small supermarket within five minutes walk. It is also well placed for trips into the mountains or driving along the wine route. I would recommend spending a day at the Ecomuseum near Mulhouse, one of the best outdoor museums we have visited. We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of France.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This wonderful gite is located within the medieval ramparts of Turckheim and has three different apartments. We made the one bedroom apartment “The Brand” our home for a week and wished we could have stayed longer. The apartment has all the modern amenities you could want while still retaining its medieval charm. Clean, cozy and perfectly sized for a couple, with a separate living area, bedroom, well-appointed kitchen and bath. Free and easy street parking is just a few steps away. Compared to most “tourist” towns, scenic Turckheim is very quiet, but still offers several restaurants, shops, and, most importantly, boulangeries within walking distance of the gite. And don’t miss the storks fishing in the adjacent river or an evening walk on the hill above town. Gregory was the perfect host, welcoming us with a bottle of Turckheim wine and fresh-baked pretzels. While our French is somewhat limited, Gregory had no problem answering any questions we posed, as he is quite fluent in English. A perfect place to stay while visiting the area.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Conveniently situated in the medieval town of Turckheim, the accommodation has been tastefully furnished and decorated whilst retaining its historic charm. It was spotlessly clean and well presented and the owners were very helpful and obliging. A perfect place to stay!
