Location is excellent! We like to get out and explore when on vacation and this apartment is close to everything. Arthur's seat, Royal mile, Parliament and places I don't even know the names of but were so neat. There is also a Tesco grocery store right around the corner (like 2 minutes away) and an excellent Indian restaurant opposite. As for the apartment, it was comfy, quiet and we felt safe. It came fully equiped with everything you needed (thanks for the tea bags left in the cupboard btw, the kettle was on for a cuppa the second we checked in LOL) The apartment was clean, though like a lot of VRBO's does show some wear and tear and could use a lick of paint and a few upgrades. But hey, I'm on vacation and not too concerned about that kind of stuff because we're out all day anyway. Check in was easy, just make sure to read/follow the instructions and photos you are sent and you'll be fine. My only 2 gripes were, the master bathroom (the one with the shower) does have a bit of mildew in the shower stall and the bed in that room was a bit uncomfy and noisy (and no, not like that- hahaha) but if you moved just the slightest it squeaked, I felt sorry for my husband as I toss and turn a lot in my sleep. Other than that, we had a great time and would return to this location.

The property was just as it was described. Cute, clean, two bedroom apartment with a great location. The kitchen has everything you need, dishwasher, stove, oven, microwave and an all in one washer/dryer. The unit is in a secure building and it was mere steps from the Royal Mile. We had no trouble picking up the key and then getting into the buildling. I had one question during our stay and the rep answered it very quickly. We had a great stay here.

What a lovely place for our family! The accommodations were super comfy and close to everything you’d be interested in - the Royal Mile, Hollywood Palace, hiking up to Arthur’s Seat. There’s a market right around the corner which is also very convenient if you’re looking to prepare a meal at home. Finally, because the flat is not directly on the Royal Mile, but just up the street, you have the benefit of its conveniences without the related noise!

The host was quick with communication. Being right on the royal mile was great for shopping and pubs as well as site seeing.

Location was great. Apartment entry a bit shabby and could be cleaner. Apartment itself needed some updating. It is smaller than expected. It was a fine visit but just average.

Hadh everything we needed including some basics like coffee, teas and creamer for easy first day. Very clean and great location for the Royalty Mile, we walked everywhere and easy fast, train to send half a day in St. Andrew's highly recommend it!!

The property is well equipped and is well furnished. Heating is adequate and offstreet parking a bonus. Great location just a few minutes walk from Canongate and the Royal Mile. 2 good restaurants just opposite as well as a Tesco mini. Convoluted description of how to enter the property could be simplified.

Great place and great location. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more. Easy walk to the Royal Mile. We traveled light, and just walked to the VRBO from the train station.

Lovely apartment within walking distance of everything in Edinburgh. The property was spotless and is very homey, and the host was very responsive and made our whole process smooth.

This property was clean and well equipped and the lacation could not have been better. The beds were super comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was good. Would have liked a coffee machine but the Tesco arround the corner had good coffee so not the end of the world.

Accommodations were spacious and homey. Kitchen had everything you would need and living area was a nice place to relax after long days. Easy walking to everything we did in Old Town. Would highly recommend.

Great location - walkable to several points of interest and any public transport/bus tours. The property was clean, spacious and the instructions for check in/out very easy to follow. Would seriously consider staying here again for a future trip. Had a question for the host who was very gracious and fast in responding as well.

Location, location, location! I stayed about two months. Clean, well appointed, next to the University and Royal Mile. Grocery and pubs next door.

Central location. Apartment quite small and in need of a fresh lick of paint. Overall, ideal for short stay if your not to fusy about decor and just need to get your head down.

We enjoyed our stay in thin little Edinburgh apartment. It was an easy walk to most of the sites on our list of things to see, but far enough away to allow you to leave the crowds behind. It was a great place to start and stop our days.

Easy to access and park. Central to the Royal Mile and environs. Property manager was quick to respond to broken washer/dryer and replaced it in less than 12 hours with a new one. Comfortable beds and good linen..

Flat and location were great but the listing said Elevator and the elevator has apparently not been working for quite some time according to the residents we spoke with. They actually laughed when we asked about the elevator. We had to climb 7 flights of 6-8 stairs each with our large luggage. I hurt my back. I have a video should VRBO be interested. When I asked about the elevator, the owner went silent. Check the comms. However, they had just answered my question about the WIFI minutes before I asked if they were aware of the elevator not working. Then, when I as a respectful guest informed the owner of when we were leaving and how we left the flat, they finally responded and said they had a virus and that's why they hadn't responded. They claimed not to know about the elevator and blamed their handyman. I'm sorry, that is just hard to believe. They got a virus and couldn't respond in the 5 minutes between my 2 questions? To make matters worse, VRBO was IMPOSSIBLE to reach from Scotland. They provide an 800 number which is useless overseas. They need to make it easier to report a listing like this that promises something- like an elevator- and doesn't provide it. Also, the dirty sock in the far corner of the second bedroom validates the cleanliness rating. Other than that, flat was clean.

Very cosy, neat and clean. The apartment served all our needs perfectly. Checkin information was not timeously explained and needs better attention. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much. The apartment is well equipped and ideally located.

Had a great stay, place was clean and easy to find. Location was fantastic and such a great price for where you were, everywhere was a walk away! Host was really responsive and helpful. Would stay again!

Location for the Royal Mile, Holyrood House, Christmas Market and Princess stree was very good. We walked everywhere. The property is in a block of flats on the second floor, nothing hears from the other flats. Some maintenance required but not horrendous. Shower average temperature and fan noisy. Bedding clean and fresh. Warm flat. Would we return.... Yes. Large Tesco express seconds away.

As everybody mentions the location really is as good as it gets. The host very kindly allowed us an early check in which was very kind. The apartment was very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. The one downside was the carpet in the en suite bedroom. It wouldn't cost a lot to replace it and it really does need to be replaced! If this was to be done I would stay here again without a doubt.

This flat was great- definitely on the historic side but clean! Worked perfectly for my husband, son and I while staying in Edinburgh. We walked to the royal mile and up to the castle from the apartment- beware it’s all uphill but totally worth the walk! There was a tesco right around the corner and lots of cafes for coffee or a pastry in the morning. We would definitely stay here again!

This property has 2 rooms and 2 bathrooms, but the fan in the master bath is super loud and the lights flicker annoyingly. The other bathroom has a tub, no shower. The beds were just “fine” not great. However the location was great. Very close to the royal mile and Grass Market. Wouldn’t stay here again but it did the trick.

Good location to explore the city on foot. A bit complicated to find the key box, park etc but the directions given helped considerably. Secured parking on site. Would rent again

Ok but apartment needs a facelift. Bathrooms need new fixtures, better mirrors, taps (not separate hot and cold) etc. A paint job would also spruce up the walls etc. How to manuals would be of great benefit. Has great potential with its locaton. Just needs a bit of work. Suitable for 4. A

This apartment was perfect for the three days we spent in Edinburgh. It is near Arthur’s seat so about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the old town. It was quiet and close to some great restaurants (Tolbooth pub) and things to see. It is near an on/off bus stop so if you plan on buying a ticket for that and time it right, you can jump on the bus and get to anywhere on that route easily. I recommend the 2 day on-off bus With the two routes so you can see all of the neighbourhoods around Edinburgh. Having said all that we enjoy walking so did not mind it was not in the centre of everything. Actually that was a plus for us. The building has an elevator so even though it is on a higher level, you don’t have to lug your suitcase up the stairs. The apartment overall was clean, had everything we needed, including two full bathrooms, which is a luxury in Edinburgh. The living room is somewhat basic, but we were never there as we were out exploring the city. The host was responsive and allowed us to check in early which was a real bonus.

Very nice and clean. Location was very convenient to walk, especially if you can handle hills. The directions to get in may seem a little daunting. But it is quite easy.

Outstanding location but lacked updated furnishings, lacked homelessness such as biscuits, water, shampoos, soaps and other things we have experienced on our many VRBO we have rented in the UK and Scotland

The location of the flat was excellent, really close to everywhere at the Fringe. The flat overall was rather tired and in need of some attention to its overall presentation. The main bathroom had no shower facilites, not even a hand held shower and the door did not close easily. The space around the bed in the second bedroom was very limited so I kept banging my leg on the bedframe. The ensuite in the main bedroom smelt badly of damp.

We were very excited about this property when we booked it as it was in the perfect location and we were surprised to find this booking given the proximity to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. However, we could not have been more disappointed. It is clear that the property photos are old (clearly taken when the property had been newly refurbished). There was rubbish left under the sofa and the carpets looked extremely dirty. This could all have been forgiven, had it not been for the obvious issues with damp in the property- there was mould in one of the bedrooms and the smell of damp in the en-suite was awful. The property owner has tried to solve this issue using only moisture absorbers. For the amount we paid for this property, it was very disappointing. Also, be aware that you are not provided with a fob for the garage. Instead a member of your party will have to go through the front door and open the garage from the inside. Would not stay here again.
