Stayed Jul 8, 2023When we arrived the host had filled the fridge with cold drinks and sweet's which was a kind reception after a long drive. The flat was huge, very clean and fully equiped in a quite area. During the stay the host was very very kind and maked sure everything was okay for us. The host helped with information s about rent, where to go in the area etc. We can highly recommend Frau Heigert and this lovely appartment.

Stayed Sep 24, 2022We are 2 older couples. We stayed at the apartment for 10 days making day trips by train, car, and boat to the beautiful small villages from Rudesheim to. Koblenz. The location of the apartment is perfect for this kind of vacation and the 2 bedroom apartment was beautiful and clean. Gabriel and her son were great hosts and were very helpful in our daily trip plans. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Stayed Aug 4, 2018The photo's do not prepare you for how lovely and equipped this apartment is. Everything you could possibly want is provided including a Bluetooth stereo and every kitchen item you could require. There are comfy sofas to relax on and well laid out bedrooms. The hosts who live downstairs are on hand but not intrusive. They are very friendly and happy to advise you. The property itself is in a lovely quiet location and the terrace was fantastic for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. The property is perfect for exploring the Rhine and the Mosel. I would recommend this property to anyone who wants to stay in the area. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is a very comfortable apartment in the picturesque heart of the Upper Middle Rhine. We stayed for a week in the upper apartment over Christmas and couldn’t have been made more welcome. The apartment is comfortable, warm, and full of personal touches. All facilities are on hand, including a useful selection of walking maps and brochures, and easy access to a shared washer and dryer in the basement. The street is very quiet yet close to the transport corridor. The location is perfect to explore this wonderful region. In winter there are glimpses of the Rhine and Sankt Goar castle from the window, and walking trails head in all directions. We enjoyed the walk down paths to the village below, and numerous others through hillside wineries, along the plateau, and exploring local villages and their surrounds. Gabrielle made us feel completely at home, and we were even greeted with a Christmas tree, pantry supplies, various home-made treats, and a bottle of mulled wine!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969It was an absolute joy for us to stay in this beautiful three-apartment home in Sankt Goar. Our hosts were friendly, accommodating, and highly knowledgable of the surrounding area and Germany in general. They helped guide us to the apartment via phone after our plane landed late and we arrived in the middle of the night, as well as provided free tickets to tour the local castle. Having both speak English was a plus for American travelers. We would definitely stay with them again and recommend this apartment to anyone desiring a wonderful Germany experience!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This review relates to the garden appartment. The appartment was very clean and exceptionally well equipped. The description does not do justice to the property. The location on the Middle Rhine was excellent, making river trips, biking, visiting Koblenz and the Moselle river all very easy. Our trip coincided with the Rhine in Flames which was a wonderful start to our holiday. Harald and Gabriele were the perfect hosts being there if needed and unobtrusive if not.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This review is for the one bedroom apartment down stairs. Very comfortable home. Needed nothing more. Owners very friendly, but not intrusive. Easy parking. The property was spacious and clean and had outdoor space with lighting so you could sit out all evening. Would need transport or be very fit as it is located up a steep hill. This makes it a lovely quiet location away from the trains however. Walks and restaurant in village at this level. Had a very good birthday meal here. St. Goar has a variety of eating places. We found we drove down the hill and parked for free near the coach park so we had our bikes for use when we wanted. (hill too steep for me to push bike up) Limited groceries in St. Goar, but super markets about 7 k away. Not a location for those who like night life, but who want relaxation after busy days out. Good central location for visiting other towns. As a non cyclist, I would recommend bikes as the paths along this side of the Rhine are great and even I felt safe and could cope. I would highly recommend the property. If returning to this area, we would book again without hesitation.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969When choosing a holiday apartment from the Internet you can never be sure that it will be as described and be what you are looking for. In this case everything was as stated and it proved a perfect place for grandparents, parents and a1 year old baby. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable and very well equipped. During some of our stay the fields on both sides were home to horses which delighted the baby! The apartment is in a modern house in the village of Biebernheim - a small but attractive place with a nice mixture of the old and the new. The owners who live below were most friendly and helpful but not at all intrusive. Both speak very good English. There are pleasant woodland walks close by with wonderful views of the Rhine valley. The Burg Rheinfels castle is within walking distance and well worth a visit. The more energetic can walk down to the town of St Goar (that bit's easy - it's the walking back which is draining especially in hot weather!) However, there is plenty of car parking in St Goar some of which is free. There are many opportunities for boat trips there and a very good train service to Koblenz or Mainz. There are good supermarkets in the nearby town of Oberwesel. There are several baker's shops, bars and restaurants in St Goar. Biebernheim has a baker's shop and two restaurants as well as a very friendly wine store unfortunately only open for an hour or two each week.
