Super nice apartment in the basement, direct ground floor exit to the large terrace. Living room and bedroom situated to the spacious garden. On the terrace, the sun spoils you until noon. Stayed Jul 14, 2018This apartment is in the residential village directly above the riverside part of St Goar. While it means that a car is necessary, it provides the benefit of being very quiet and having a great view over the Rhine. The apartment itself is in the lower floor of owner’s house. It is very spacious and very well equipped. Everything was clean, very modern and in excellent condition. The living room opens directly onto the large back garden, with patio seating and access to the walking paths along the top of the valley. We found it to be very quiet and private – never aware of the owners or the neighbours. The bed was very comfortable. There is no heating or cooling in the apartment. We stayed in mid-July and neither of these were needed. The washing machine and outside clothes line were very handy. Private parking is provide inside the house grounds. On the owner’s recommendation, we ate in the local village in the first night. A high quality restaurant which delivered one of our best meals for the whole week – and moderately priced. There are numerous eating options in the many villages along the Rhine, but all require a car. Internet was provided and worked very well. This apartment was a real joy to stay in for the 7 nights we were in the Rhine. We have no reservations in recommending it.
