    Very well located and spacious apartment but a few things could be improved. First the lights in the entryway were not functioning making it very dangerous with the steps. Had to use our phones’ flashlights. Second, both water faucets in the kitchen were continuously dripping. The bedroom could use some shelves or drawers to store clothes.

    Management company grossly over sells this place. They can an unlit 30 foot covered cave entrance with stairs as historic, no, it’s dangerous and should be disclosed. There was no comfortable seating, they were also aware of this. Internet signal was poor to none. Just an overall terrible experience and dealing with the mgt company was awful. Nothing charming about this place at all.

    The Apartment is in a very good location. However it could use a good cleaning, Lamp shades need dusting carpet and sofa need to be cleaned lots of stains. The biggest problem was the tap in the kitchen it NEVER stopped making noise,every night I got woke up at least twice or more. The Best was the location we were walking distance to every thing we could think of in Edinburgh and if we wanted to go out on a day trip that super easy to get to for our location

    The property is well located and although on a main road is very quiet re sleeping. We were woken at 03.30 til 04.30 as someone buzzing the communal buzzers but no fault of the property and would not put us off visiting again. Fantadtic service with Altido would definitely book with them again

    Very nicely appointed apartment in a fabulous location with perfect view of the castle and jlvery close to the Grassmarket. The listing was completely accurate, and accesing the apartment was very easy with excellent instructions provided. The hosts were very respns9ve and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property.

    This really is a charming property, nicely updated and close to the Grassmarket, so easy access for a lot of things. Living room faces busy road but bedroom faces quieter side. However… the couch, chair, ottoman and rug are in desperate need of a deep cleaning - they were so stained I didn’t sit on them. The couch is a pull-out, but it’s broken to the point of the couch being uneven to sit on. The right front burner on the stove doesn’t work. The bed had only 2 pillows - more were supplied, but not the linens for them. Only one tea towel for a week’s stay is not enough, and the oven mitts need washing. Thick layers of dust on all the lampshades. The bathroom is in desperate need of a towel rail (had to hang wet towels over the kitchen chairs). The radiator system is insanely noisy at night. The entryway to the building (behind the access door) is extremely dark and doesn’t seem to have a light switch… had to use phone flashlight to navigate the stairs safely. Prior to booking I wrote Altido, the listing company, with questions that were never answered. The place is good enough, but yuck… that couch.
