Stayed Sep 8, 2025The apartment was clean, well-equipped and very light and pleasant. The shower was excellent! It was well placed within easy walking distance of the shops and restaurants. It is on the third floor and we found this a bit of a barrier for getting our luggage in, but it was good exercise!

Stayed Apr 6, 2025The flat had everything I needed. Unfortunately, I spent a week w/o wifi and that was enormously frustrating.I only learned on my last day it was because of the walls that blocked the signal. I felt very disconnected and wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out. Otherwise, the beaches were beautiful and so glad I chose St Malo. The hosts were very gracious and did their best to assist.

Stayed Sep 15, 2024We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St. Malo. The apartment was spotless and well appointed, located on a quiet street convenient to everything. The owner and Véronique were very helpful. It was convenient to stay here and make day trips all over the region.

Stayed Sep 1, 2022Just to get the only slightly negative thing out of the way first: Saint-Malo Intra Muros is a very difficult place to navigate and drive through - at least at first. We only wanted to park outside the apartment for a few minutes so that we could unload our bags, but finding our way through the narrow cobbled streets with a bewidering one-way system was a nightmare. Perhaps it should be a difficult place to drive though to discourage vehicles in this beautiful ancient city but we found it a bit frightening. Once we got to know the place it was much easier and we left our car in the Q-Parks underground (pre-booked online) car park which was a pleasant 8-9 minute walk away. The apartment was just as described in the Vrbo listing. It had all we needed and more too. And everything - fittings, furnishings and fabrics were very good quality. It was perfect for the two of us. The private owner obviously wants things to be just right and puts quality above profit. It was very clean and well maintained. There were lots of electrical outlets. The apartment is in a great location, in one of the many beautiful granite buidings and the windows looked out onto a lovely street/square with a cafe on the pavement below. The owner was very helpful, accommodating and responded to all our queries before we visited. The lady (Véronique) who prepared the flat perfectly for us, was very pleasant, greeted us kindly and went to some trouble to ensure we understood everything and how it worked. Altogether it was a very pleasant experience and I'm sure we will remember it fondly for a long time.

Stayed Jul 18, 2020We have spent a week in this appartment, last July. The location is incredible, in the old town centre, but at the same time so quiet. It is situated in a corner of a nice square. There are five windows and all face the street. Very clean, and the forniture is almost brand new, Veronique welcomed us with several french tipycal amenities. All that you need to have in mind is that the appartment is in the third floor and there is no lift (It was built in 1947 after destruction of WW II, it is a clear explanation of what happened in a official Saint Malo poster in the street, close to the main entrance). The only con is that the coffee machine was difficult to use without pouring coffee out of the cup, at least for me!! Great stay, one of our best ever.

Stayed Sep 26, 2019We spent 4 nights here in late Sept 2019. Our host was easy to communicate with and he offered transportation to and from the train station which saved us a 20 minute walk. The apartment, located inside the old walled city was on a quiet square with plenty of light coming in through several windows on two sides. It appears to have been completely remodeled recently with a nice walk-in shower and high end kitchen appliances. and was the perfect size for the two of us. It was set up like a large, open studio but had a pocket door type telescoping wall that offered separation between the bedroom area and living/kitchen area if needed. The bed was a bit firm for my taste and was somewhat small (double) but overall the apartment was very comfortable and made for a great stay in St-Malo.

Stayed Jun 9, 2018Our family (two adults and two young children) loved our visit to Saint-Malo in early June 2018, largely because of the comfort, cleanliness, and attractiveness of what we nicknamed our tree house apartment. The weather was rather overcast while we were there, but the third-floor windows brought in so much light. As the parents of young children, we were grateful to discover the electric shutters (volets) as well, which blocked out all the light when we needed to put our children to sleep. Although it is not a large flat, the open layout and thoughtful design created a sense of spaciousness (there was no wasted space or clutter). We had everything we needed to cook nice meals, do laundry, and feel relaxed. The bed and pull-out sofa were very comfortable, and the linens, blankets, pillows, and towels were of excellent quality. The owners even provided board games, which we played with our children, and extensive information about the flat and Saint-Malo and its environs. Most significantly, the owner of the apartment and his employee were absolutely wonderful hosts. They picked us up at the train station when we arrived from Paris and spent more than an hour with us to answer any questions we had and just to be friendly and chat with us. They were particularly kind and affectionate to my daughters. When we had questions during our stay, the owner and his employee responded promptly and courteously. It's clear that they really want people to have a wonderful stay, that this is more than just a business for them. They also drove us to the train station when we had to leave Saint-Malo. If we ever have the opportunity to return to Saint-Malo, we will definitely request to stay here again. Thank you for your amazing warmth and hospitality! We miss the sounds of seagulls and church bells that we heard from the flat!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This apartment is superb! Lots of natural light from the large windows, a modern, efficient kitchen, beautiful layout and comfortable bed. It is a warm, calm and inviting space. If you open the windows you can hear the sounds of seagulls and cathedral bells, and the activity of the creperie below. The location is wonderful. The apartment is at the end of a quiet street and everything you need or want is within an easy walk. The owner and housekeeper were wonderful! Very hospitable and reliable-- even transporting me to and from the train station. Every detail was handled with care, including biscuits and cider awaiting me when I arrived. I had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to anyone looking for just the right spot in beautiful Saint Malo.
