Charming 3-bedroom apartment in lovely Grand Rapids walk to downtown.

Michelle was friendly and responsive to messages. Kitchen had plenty of utensils, cookware, and appliances including coffeepot (with coffee!), toaster, microwave, refrigerator, and stove. No dishwasher, and no water line to the refrigerator ( though ice was in trays in the freezer). This was on the second floor of an older home, so lots of older home quirks to be found, though nothing was broken or inoperable. Overall a nice experience and in a great location!

Very close to Helen DeVos where our son is being treated for his kidney disease, fairly quiet area, the host was very nice and accommodating! She communicated very well also. #CancerSucks take care sweet lady!

Michelle was a very attentive host and was more then accommodating - the only suggestion is the king bed the mattress is hard as rock which is why this gets a 4. I would highly suggest a better mattress in the main bedroom

Great placement right in a pretty quiet neighborhood not far from anything. The host was nice and helpful! I couldn't find the apartment number at first because a reef was partially blocking the large number on the door, but I'm blind in general haha . The host helped me find it with ease. For being a decent sized apartment, in the city, was surprised on how quiet it was. Cleanliness was great but did noticed a few wrappers next to a bed that was missed. We are all human, I wouldve missed it to. We would definitely stay again and would recommend! Thanks

on the morning of the rental I sent a message to Michelle to confirm we would be there that afternoon. She told me that they were painting the apartment we rented but would give me the apartment in the lower level. (That is not listed on VRBO) because it was the morning of departure I said ok and she assured me it was as nice as the one I rented. Upon arrival it was difficult to locate because there were wreaths over the address. Once we entered we were extremely disappointed because the internet was down because of non payment according to the message we got when trying to sign in. I sent a message and the next morning she answered and got the internet reinstated. The apartment was nothing like what I had booked. It needed a really good cleaning, there were people in the upstairs apartment all night walking around, a dog that barked they was no painting going on someone was living or renting the apartment above that we had reserved. The walls were dirty and there was toothpaste on the hand towel. Michelle was very nice but we were very dissapointed in our stay, it felt like a bait and switch or kind of scamish the way we were shuffled around and told that the apartment above was being painted.

Owner was lovely to work with. House was clean and warm when we arrived. Quick responses and so close to the hospital. It made the experience of having someone undergo major surgery significantly lighter not having to worry about our housing!

The property could use a good cleaning. There were a lot of worn down/broken things. Many of the windows did not have screens, so you could not open them. Saturday a stranger came in and ask when we were checking out, because she had it booked for Saturday and Sunday. We had it booked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. She showed us her text exchange with Michelle. In the text exchange she was given the door code and told it was available for her during the time we were there.. but we showed our confirmation from Vrbo. She apologized and left saying she did not mean to barge in, clearly she was given bad information on availablity and left to scramble to find a space for 6 people. I hope she got her money back. I would not stay again because of the double booking issues and it just was a bit run down.

Location across from a park, and walkability to downtown were the best things about this property. Check in was easy. With a generous update and refresh, some TLC and detailed cleaning this has the potential to be a cozy and inviting place to stay.

My husband and I were looking for a place to stay the night with our two kids while on a long road trip to visit family. This was a great place and we will consider it the next time we stop in Grand Rapids.

My family and I came in to catch a ballgame at LMCU Ballpark and had the pleasure of staying here for the night. Communication with host was stellar; extremely friendly and accommodating. Place was fantastic. I promise I'm not just saying this next part....but they quite seriously had THE best bed's I have EVER encountered in a rental, hotel, you name it. As Dad, I usually get stuck with the crappy mattress or pull-out. Here...EVERY bed was incredible.Very clean, easy parking and access, and nearby to quite a bit. My kids also loved being directly across the street from a park, which we ended up frequenting a few times.

We only stayed one night. We were just there to sleep, but the house was spacious. A lot of stairs to climb, but it was fine. I noticed a park of some sort across the road. Great for kids to play. We didn’t walk downtown we took a 5 uber/lyft. However I think we could have walked without crossing the highway. I’d definitely stay again. Very reasonable price.

We stayed just one night and the place is fine for that. The price reflects the option nicely. This suited us well for a one-neigh stay in Grand Rapids, a marvelous city. The home is in a pleasant neighborhood.

A cozy apartment in a quiet

The apartment was cute. Close to downtown. The neighborhood was nice, quite and there is a big park directly across the street. Our family enjoyed their time. We would definitely book again.

The place was amazing and clean and had everything you need, the hosts were excellent and helpful. The wifi password didn’t work but I didn’t care that much. And the door handle to the bathroom was broken. Overall great stay and would recommend!

We enjoyed our stay. The apartment is warm and cozy. The water was hot in the shower. We cooked and enjoyed games with family and mostly picked the location as it was central to a few sites we wanted to visit. Parking is close to the building and there is a nice park to walk across the street. A wreath covered the apartment number and we needed to inquire as to which door to use for entry, but that was the only glitch. I recommend a few bottled waters and more washcloths for next time but we'd stay there again!

Enjoyed our stay here. Comfortable beds and accommodations. Host was very helpful when needing something she provided it. If you don’t mind taking the stairs to get to the 2nd floor apartment, it’s the right place for you. Conveniently located to Downtown area.

Had a great time with friends. Only a mile from downtown restaurants and an easy walk to entertainment. Great host with great accommodations. The house is older but it is warm and cozy. The house also has a lot of unique architectural features.

Started off somewhat confusing, with the wrong code and wrong address being sent, causing us to accidentally walk in on the downstairs tenants. Thankfully they were understanding. Front door didn't seem to lock. Maybe we were doing it wrong? But a little communication prior to arrival could have helped. Downstairs tenants were also quite loud, up til 1-2am. This is not the hosts fault, but as a suggestion, maybe consider removing the piano from the rental so guests who are trying to sleep upstairs don't have to listen to it being played poorly at all hours of the night. Aside from that, the rental was clean, spacious, and exactly as described. King bed was incredibly firm, but the other 2 beds were cozy. Wifi and heat worked well. Bathroom was nice. Lots of clean towels. Appliances in the kitchen seemed fairly new. Location was close to everything we needed.

Very cute and friendly place to stay

The restaurants in downtown Grand Rapids is only a mile walk - wonderful. We recommend Sundance Grill. Additionally, the prporty is next to a small green space and 2 blocks west for a view of the river. I will return to this rental.

The 2nd floor of an older home converted to an apartment. The place was clean and nice and suited our need. The park across the street was good for walking the dog and for the kids to play. The host was responsive. The main front stairs are a little steep and I don't remember seeing that this was a 2nd-floor walk up. The wood floor creaked with age and character. Darker curtains would've been nice on the windows.

The apartment was in a perfect location for everything we wanted to do. It was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay!

Communication with property manager was exceptional. She was kind, thorough, and readily available with a quick response time. The apartment is an upper, so you do have to go up one flight of stairs. The stairs to get to the apartment are not that long in my opinion. The apartment is large enough, has three larger bedrooms with good sized beds, one bathroom and a small eating area. I slept in the king size bed, which was okay but was quite firm. I wouldn’t say that the apartment is really modern as another reviewer said, but the owner has taken time to add some cute decor with a lot of antique accents. It’s an older home like every other home in this area. It has a cute, shabby chic look to it. Coffee was available, but that’s about it but this was fine for me. The location is very close to downtown, so if you’re going to an event, this is a prime location Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It’s very clean and very quiet. The interior is nice enough, and the owner is incredibly accommodating with wonderful, ongoing communication. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay in your space.

A host of this property by the name of Michelle supposedly double-booked this property. She offered her personal residence to us instead of letting us stay at this VRBO listed property. However, her personal property was unclean and we only stayed one night instead of two because of the uncleanliness. She was going to either refund what we paid for the VRBO listed property or at the very least give us a refund for one night since we had to get another rental for the second night due to how unclean her personal property was. However, I never heard from her about the refund nor did I receive a refund. I'm not sure what really' happened with our reservation for this VRBO property because her name Michelle is not even listed anywhere on this property. Seems like some kind of fraud occurred.

This apartment was incredible, super comfortable and modern, with a beautiful master bedroom. Location is great being right near downtown also being a walkable or drivable distant to many restaurant and activities. The host is very responsive and kind. Would definitely recommend!!
