This is a lovely two bedroom apartment in a fourplex with its own private deck overlooking a grove of lush trees. Vaulted ceilings, well insulated from sound a temperature, close to major bus lines, and a five minute drive to PSU, OHSU and downtown. The apartment is close to the South Waterfront, several parks, and nearby shopping centers and restaurants. It is practically downtown, yet situated on a quiet street with no outlet. Bring your bike and store it safely on your private deck.
r>This spacious, cozy home-away-from-home is completely furnished with very comfortable beds, including a sleeper sofa. There are lovely vaulted ceilings and the kitchen has just about everything you'd need to cook all your meals. The surroundings are park like, with trees providing shade in the summer. In winter, when leaves are off the trees, there's a view through to the Willamette River. Comfortable outdoor chairs on the deck invite you to sip your morning coffee or enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. There is a reserved off-street parking spot right near the front door.

Living room: Tons of natural light. Sleeper sofa (full bed). Vaulted ceilings. Smart TV. 2 sofa chairs. Coffee table. Access to private balcony with outdoor chairs and coffee table.

Bathroom: Tile shower with bathtub. Cabinet with some extra storage.

Bedrooms: Queen sized beds, closets with dressers, extra bedding.

I have found over time that every VRBO is different and every guest’s expectations are different when they book a short term rental. It is my goal to make sure that I am as transparent as possible so that you can make an educated decision on your choice of where you would like to stay.

NOISE: No excessive noise. No parties. No yelling.

SMOKING: No smoking anywhere on the property

PET POLICY: All pets must be approved in advance. You must confirm that the animal has no history of property destruction, indoor urination/defecation, aggression, or excessive noise. I expect you to have the animal with you or cared for when you're not home. In order to maintain an allergen-low environment for other guests, I have my cleaners do deep cleans after every animal stays there and hire a carpet / upholstery cleaner if necessary. Any undisclosed pet will result in a large penalty. FEES: Dogs and cats: 7 days or less: $100 // 7-14 nights = $150 // 15+ nights = $200. This fee does not cover any damages caused by the pet that result in excessive cleaning or repairs.

ESAs / Service animals: If you have an ESA animal please send me a copy of the paperwork including the letter from your healthcare provider. If you have a service animal trained to help you with a disability, I will be asking you the following legally allowable questions: 1) Is the service animal required because of a disability 2) What work or task has the animal been trained to perform (Your disability does *not* need to be disclosed)

CLEANING: Sometimes a cleaner does a poor job and it catches me (and you!) off guard. Please let me know if the cleaner missed something(s) important and allow me to fix the issue. I assure you that I strongly value cleanliness and any lack of cleanliness is not on purpose. I do want to advise, however, that many of my apartments are older constructions and there is only so much you can do about regular wear and tear aside from an apartment remodel. So, I please ask that you keep this in mind when booking. I do not have luxury rentals – I have cozy, lived in spaces.

APARTMENT BUILDING: This unit is located in a building with other units. It is very well insulated, however, you will often hear the normal noises of other tenants in the building. This may include: pets occasionally barking, muffled voices, muffled music, muffled TV noises, furniture being moved, people in the stairwell, etc. If you notice the other tenants causing excessive noise, especially during quiet hours, please let me know! If you would like me to bring over a noise machine, please let me know. By booking this unit, you acknowledge this reality of potential noise.

Decent property, convenient location for my trip. Main issue was that the walls are thin so I was kept awake on Friday night by the neighbors. I don't think they were doing anything excessive, it's just thin walls / ceiling.

Floors were not clean, shower curtain has pink mold, baseboards look as if they have not been cleaned in years. Balcony has broken down cardboard on it, outside furniture not cleaned this season. Seemed like staying in a kind of run down version of what the photos show.

The directions for getting into the place were super simple and well communicated. The place itself is in a nice quiet area but is still close to many of the things in Portland. It was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The check-out instructions were also easy to follow. Overall a very smooth and great experience staying here!

Thank you for your hospitality. We had a great stay; the neighborhood was nice and quiet. We stayed during a heat wave. We appreciated the a/c, however it wasn't hooked up properly with a window block (pexiglass) there was only the regular screen, therefore, all of the cool air went right outside. It was too hot to open the bedroom windows, so the rooms were hot and muggy. The toilet stopped working. The tank did not fill up with water and we had to fill the tank with the shower head after each flush. Not the best thing to do in the heat and it was inconvenient. Maybe the toilet needs a new flushing unit if this happens often. We ended up leaving a day before we were supposed to check out because the home didn't have any air flow in the stifling heat. We ended up missing the last day of the Waterfront Blues Festival, which was a major bummer (this was the only reason we were in town, and we come every year). Also, the back sliding door doesn't lock. This wasn't a major concern as we were 2 stories up. I would love to come back. I hope these issues are fixed, then I would be happy to give 10 stars. Again, thank you for your hospitality.

A quiet, comfortable stay in a very nice part of the city, new to us. So great to have easy walks to the local cafe and other eateries and also close to many footpaths!

This property very much met our needs for our one-week stay in Portland. We were a bit disappointed in the cleanliness (bedding, cobwebs, deck) which is probably an outlier (maybe the cleaners had a rough week) as most other reviews are high on cleanliness. We would return.

Came to Portland for a long weekend visit with my daughter who’s attending OHSU and her husband. Enjoyed the Oregon Zoo, Multnomah Falls e-bike tour and some great restaurants. The property was so comfortable and perfect for evening games. Quiet neighborhood.
