Two hours after checkin time, Vacasa text and asked to rate the cleanliness of the rental from 1 to 5, we gave them a 2. Checkin time was 4:00 we got there about 5:00. Pictures on the Internet site, were not exactly as shown. Overly furnished and with some pieces of furniture broken. There were no paper towels, Dish towel or dish rags. If you needed to wipe down or clean up after being in the kitchen, there was nothing to do that with. The thermostat was in the main house upstairs that you had no access to. The day we got there it was too cold and the next day to warm. When we got there, we found it to be uncleaned. The floor and carpeting had not been vacuumed, lots of crumbs and stuff under a small couch cushion, used coffee pod still in Keurig, bath tub not cleaned. Bath rugs had hair and dirt on them. The patio table was dirty and dusty (again, no way to clean it) so we could not enjoy sitting or eating there. Plastic patio chairs were old and sun crusted/flaky/durty. You couldn't sit in them without getting your clothing dirty from the plastic dust. Slidding door and screen was a little hard to open and close without extra effort. The location was great. Just a couple driving minuets to down town and to wineries. Good restaurants.

Golf course location very attractive, close to town (5 to 10 min to 3rd St, Linfield) and vineyards. Birds, trees, great deck. Spacious main area, comfy beds. Pillows could be better. Property owner responded quickly and kindly when we asked for a short term temperature adjustment. Ping pong table was fun. Coffee makers (Kuerig and drip) but no coffee provided. Convenient small refrigerators, hot plate, plentry of glasses and plates. Plenty of towels for 3 of us, 3 nights, A few notes on cleanliness, especially for a property under rental management during COVID: the bathroom sink, toilet, and tub should be spotless. Lose the unclean shower curtain. Carpet in bedrooms needs good shampooing, or at least spot cleaning. Easy fixes to make guests more comfortable. Motion sensor lights make night access easier and safer, so thanks! Suggest moving the key box up off the geound for easier access/visibility. Friendly owner lives upstairs.

It was nice but there's no stove/oven n also you can't control heat yourself without having to call Vacasa to have owner turn it up or down

We rented this spot to celebrate our 10th anniversary. Arriving at the location was a little scary. The stairs leading to the basement entrance were on the edge of a cliff with no rail and very slippery. On more than one occasion, even when walking carefully, one of us would slip. The rental itself was very clean and representative of pictures. When attempting to cook food, the toaster and hot plate could not be in use at the same time. We learned this after trying to cook and then immediately blew a breaker. It took 3-4 phone calls to get someone to turn it back on for us as the breaker box was in a locked area. Additionally, the kitchen had no vent or fan which made us nervous to cook anything other than toast in the toaster, even though we had already purchased groceries for our stay. This meant that we spent more money than we wanted to for takeout. The mini freezer in the kitchen took over 24hrs to make ice. This was unfortunate because we were instructed not to drink the well tap water and had to use a water cooler that only served room temperature water. The cherry on top was on our final night, when the host threw a holiday party of some sort late into the evening. We spent the last night of our anniversary trip listening to women gossip in the stairwell, loud speakers, and stomping from the floor above us. It was just really disappointing.

This rental is in a great location where you can get to Portland in a short timeframe or the beach in less than a couple of hours.

This is a lovely daylight basement with a great view of a golf course. It's clean, spacious, and comfortable and has more TV channels than I've ever seen. The beds are nice, the bathroom is large (with white fluffy towels), and there's a ping pong table. Who doesn't love that? There's also a nice assortment of board games and a good dining room table to play them on. There are, however, a couple of drawbacks to be aware of: 1) As mentioned in previous reviews, there are no thermostat controls in the basement. We like to sleep cold (with lots of blankets), but the heating came on strong in the middle of the night and we had to throw off covers and open windows and even then, we were still sweating in the middle of winter. Even the comfortable beds couldn't make up for the discomfort of a hot room, unfortunately. (Although - that said - I still think we slept better having two separate, if warm, rooms than we would have in a single hotel room with temperature control.) It would be nice if there was some way to request a cooler night-time temperature when booking. 2) The property is on well water, which has a slightly sulfurous smell. There's a nice set-up in the corner with a bottled water system for drinking/cooking - but be sure to remember to get a glass of the drinking water before brushing your teeth and keep in mind that your morning shower will not smell particularly good. 3) There are lots of breakable knickknacks and decorative items around. Luckily our kids are old enough to know how to be careful so it wasn't a problem, but if you have younger kids, this is probably not a good fit for you. 4) The kitchen is somewhat cobbled together with a plug-in burner and a dorm fridge. It works okay, but it's not easy to cook an elaborate meal if you plan to eat in (which, luckily, we didn't do much of this time around). 5) There is no full-size couch - just one love-seat and some smaller chairs. This means that if someone isn't sleeping well and wants to move out to the couch in the middle of the night, there's not a comfortable place out there to lie down. There are a couple of chairs that recline, but you're still in kind of a V position. Again - not a big deal, but something to be aware of. Luckily, none of these drawbacks were a big deal for us and we would happily stay again and recommend it to others - just with those few caveats.
