Summary:

Great brand new private place less then a mile away from downtown! Everything has been fully renovated, with a fully stocked house, every possible thing you could imagine is in this house for your use! No need to bring anything but yourself and clothes. 2 huge bedrooms with queen size Tempur-Pedic memory foam like beds along with a movable foldaway twin size bed. Can sleep 5 very comfortably. Plenty of parking available. Every room has a TV and there is WiFi throughout the house.

The Space:

This 2 bedroom house which can sleep 5 (2 Tempur-Pedic Queen, 1 foldaway twin) is in a great location less then 1 mile away from the center of downtown ($6 Uber or cab). There is parking both in front of the house and across the street, plenty of room for 4+ cars. The house goes well beyond all the basics such as coffee makers, etc.

All the sheets are 1000+ thread count, and every single blanket is also covered with a duvet cover which no other host in Roanoke does, who wants to use a dirty blanket that hasn't been washed between guests!

There is a large 65 LED tv in the living room, along with 2 40 LED tv's in the bedrooms. Each tv has a Roku attached that you can stream on, please note you are required to have your own streaming accounts, we do not provide them! Plenty of room at the large dining room table for dinners and get togethers, along with a huge 700 square foot deck on the back of the house complete with a grill and propane for the summer!

Extra stuff: There is a hairdryer in the unit, as well as iron and ironing board. Some people forget about that until its too late, but we have it! I tried to think of all the little things that make a stay more comfortable. There are empty hangers in the closet, and plenty of (30+) towels. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, etc are also all provided.

You will find the kitchen WELL stocked compared to most vacation rentals. Things that many other places forget, like a wine opener, can opener, potato peeler, chopsticks, steak knives, chef knives, multiple cutting boards, strainers, and various other kitchen paraphernalia are included for those that want to use the kitchen. Plus a toaster, tea kettle, coffee maker, rice cooker, and blender!

Filtered, cold, clean water available all the time: Top of the line Whirlpool Gold French door fridge, you can enjoy clean water without buying bottles. It has a built in high quality water filter. The water out of the fridge tastes great. No need to buy bottled water (Again, saving you money compared to hotel living)! Plus, it also makes ice cubes with that filtered water, very convenient, just open the freezer and they are right there.

We are a fully licensed and 100% legal Roanoke City Accommodation, see our tax id. Many others are not.

Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire unit, treat the place as if it were your own. There is a shared 700 square foot deck on the backside of the house that the completely separate Upper unit also will have the opportunity to use.

The Neighborhood:

Great neighborhood just 1 block away from a very nice public school. Close enough to downtown to be able to get back and forth very easily, but just far enough away that you can get away from the noise at night.

Getting Around:

Would recommend a car, but using uber is also recommended!

Other Things to Note:

Pets are allowed but there is a $50 charge per Pet, per day. The maximum we will charge no matter the length of your stay is a $100 Pet fee.

No smoking allowed

Early Check-in or Late Check-out can be arranged for $30 if available

(Check in 3pm or after, Check out by 11am)

Interaction with Guests:

We will not personally meet unless you would like to, there is an electronic lock that you will use to get in and out of the house! I am available 24/7 during your stay either by phone or text!

Host was excellent with communication and addressing anything that came up.

The house mainly worked out great for our 2 night stay. It was easy to find, parking was right on front of the house, check in was easy using a smart lock, kitchen had what we needed, beds were comfortable and it was a quiet neighborhood. The only minor negatives were that the upstairs AC unit (or some other similar appliance) made a fairly audible hum right above the dining table but luckily that noise didn't reach the bedrooms else it would have made sleeping difficult. Another minor issue is that the shower in the bathroom is way oversized for the size of the room making going in and out a little odd and the door of the shower wouldn't close all the way and so water would leak out of the shower area onto the main bathroom floor. Also, there was no lock on the bathroom door!!

What a pleasant find in Roanoke! This cozy two-bedroom, one-bath home provided everything we needed for our family of four and our two furry friends.Highlights:Seamless check-in processSpotlessly clean and well-maintainedPet-friendly accommodationGreat value for moneyPrime location near downtownExcellent host communicationNeil, the property owner, was incredibly responsive and transparent about the deposit requirement (likely due to the pet policy). He addressed all our questions promptly, which made the booking process stress-free.While the house does show its age with a slight vintage aroma characteristic of older homes, the competitive pricing and convenient downtown location more than made up for it. The interior was immaculately clean and thoughtfully organized.Perfect for:FamiliesPet ownersDowntown explorersBudget-conscious travelersThe layout worked perfectly for our group, and having a pet-friendly option was crucial for our visit. The home's proximity to downtown Roanoke made it easy to explore local attractions and dining options.Would I recommend it? Absolutely! If you're looking for a clean, affordable, and conveniently located home base in Roanoke, this is an excellent choice.Note: Security deposit required - inquire with host for details

The positive thing i will say is the host did communicate well, however the property was dirty, things were not kept up and some items in the house were broken or in poor condition. Thankfully we just needed somewhere to keep our small dogs as we spent a majority of the time at our families. This isnt luxury or new and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy.

Hi, I stayed in the first floor of the neat little house in the Southeast of Roanoke. Great location for getting downtown and seeing the sights in and around Roanoke. I also used it as a homebase for going down to Blacksburg for a couple football games. Beautiful area for a early/mid fall trip.

Very nice house said a very nice price. Neighborhood was nice table in living room was a little wobbly, and there was no usable, remote for the TV in the back bedroom, also lights by bed did not work. Even with all the little stupid issues to give everything a 5+ rating and would love to stay there again when in the area again
