Beautiful Renovated Lake Cottage in SW County and only minutes from Downtown!

We adore this spot! Comfortable space, well appointed, accessible to lots of activities and restaurants. We have made it an annual trip! Evelyn is wonderful, clearly pride and care put into this location.

Evelyn was a wonderful host - a great communicator and very accommodating. The house, next to a lovely pond, was well equipped, simply adorable - and so comfortable. We were there 3 nights, and every time we came back up the drive from an outing, it felt like we were coming home to our little cabin in the woods. This was truly a restful respite. Thank you!

My wife and I along with my son, his wife and 2 daughters traveled from Virginia Beach to the Roanoke area for my son and myself to participate in the VA State bowling tournament. This little cottage was absolutely perfect for our stay. The private pond for us to fish in (catch and release of course) was an extra special plus and fabulous. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you Evelyn for having everything ready for us!

This was a lovely property! You can tell that a lot of care has been taken in the details. Evelyn has thought through everything that a guest could need during their stay and provided it. Her communication was great and she was very helpful and accommodating when our personal plans changed. We rented this property to stay in during our son's graduation from Virginia Tech. It was a great decision and we highly recommend it!

There are not enough words that can express how AWESOME our stay was. Let's start with Evelyn. She is incredible. She went above and beyond when it came to hosting her guest. She was ALWAYS available, giving recommendations, and her hospitality was outstanding. No, there will never be enough words to give her all her due props.The abode was just as great. We really like the way the bedrooms are designed. Definitely gives guest their privacy. Everything you need to enjoy your stay is there. Extra would be a good word. If you like being outside, the patio/deck is the place to be. It is designed for day and night use. The area is quiet even though it is close to a hospital. You just don't here noise.When you read the description of this property, you get more than what you expect. Along with the cleanliness, furnishings and all the amenities, you also get the feeling serenity and comfort.This a great place to be and Evelyn is a SUPER host.Again, just can't say enough!

This was a great place to stay with an out of town visitor….we each had our own bedroom and bath. Everything was very clean and tidy and every need was anticipated and provided for! We did need to reach out to our super kind host as we couldn’t figure out an aspect of the beautiful electric fireplace and she was very responsive and helpful. The house is located aa convenient part of town and the neighborhood was quiet. We enjoyed the small lake and outdoor area as well as the inside. Would definitely stay here again!

The guest house was clean and comfortable. The large backyard provided an element of privacy; and there was plenty of space inside the home. It’s in the heart of Cave Spring and only 10-15 minutes to downtown Roanoke. Would definitely recommend. :)

A friend and I were looking for a mom-cation for a few days to decompress, we loved this spot! Private and cozy, greatly appointed and accessible to anything we could think of. We hope to return!

My wife and I enjoyed our stay, the host made great accommodations for us, and even had great recommendations to restaurants in downtown! Short drive to Salem and Roanoke! Definitely recommend this place to anyone interested in visiting Roanoke! Place was very clean and had everything needed!

This property is in a beautiful area with stores, restaurants and walking trails only a couple minutes away. It is obvious from the lovely decor that Evelyn wants her guests to feel at home. There were plenty of towels, extra blankets/pillows and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was truly a peaceful stay and we 10/10 recommend!

Great 2 bed 2 bath was just what we needed for our weekend in Roanoke. We were only there to sleep but the place was clean, safe, and the kitchen was fine for us - not sure you could cook a gourmet meal in it - but very functional. We will definitely go back next trip to Roanoke.
