This property has a private garden w many plants and shrubs that were in bloom while we were there. The house is a well-maintained Craftsman home with stained glass windows, wood floors, and a beautiful staircase. What we enjoyed most was that it felt like a true home, not a rental. Check in was very easy. Finally, I appreciated the friendly tone of instructions for checking in and checking out-it added to the overall sense of welcome in this beautiful home.

Owner cancelled less than 24 hours from stay and offered us a smaller house. Refund came back short and I had to call Vrbo to make it right. Not terribly pleased and there wasn't a ton of remorse.

The place is great, with lots of character and in a great location, had all the amenities needed and comfortable space. However, we did have an issue with the bathroom sink of the upstairs bathroom was clogged. We informed right away the management and were very flexible as they asked if we could wait 1 more day for their usual person to come in to fix it. Every day we made arrangements for them to come in and fix it, and every day we came back in the evening and nothing had been done, after they assured us every time that someone would come in. It was not convenient to have to brush our teeth using the bathtub, specially when you have little kids. If it was a Hotel, they would have instantly handled it or changed us rooms, and even compensated our stay for the inconveniences caused. It was certainly inconvenient that I had to take out of my holiday time to have to deal with this situation every day, and they would just apologize and say they would come the next day. When I stated my disappointment, they simply said sorry and that's it. We gave them plenty of times to correct the situation during our stay and we were just lied to every day and at the end there was no type of compensation or them trying to make it better. Just for that, even if the place is nice, we would not recommend this place and would not stay in any of their properties, as having a clean place and a working bathroom are plain basic for any lodging situation.

We are thankful for the opportunity to stay in Portland to celebrate my daughter's 21st birthday. The pictures show a lush garden, a small pool, and the ad reads that there is AC in the house. It was a very hot weekend. There is NO AC in the main part of the house, only in the upstairs bedrooms. Our daughter has health issues and I purposefully looked for a house with AC when chosing where to take her. I re-read the ad, and it does not say no AC in main part, only in bedrooms. It says the house has AC. So we were hot and uncomfortable. I went to cool off in the pool. It was disgusting. I could not get in there. The water had a type of oily substance floating on top, covering the pool water. Too gross to get in. The gardens are brown and crispy. Dying plants in desperate need of water. Part of the house was clean, other parts were not. The dining table was sticky, there were nuts from a previous renter in the hide-a-bed, the dishes in the kitchen cabinet had old, dried food on them, we had to rewash dishes and silverware before we could use them. The kitchen cabinets had old, opened food items. The refrigerator was so full of opened food, we had trouble putting our own things away. It was a bit of a hot bummer.

This property is perfect for a family who wants to be in a very walkable neighborhood close to stores and parks. Everything was clean and comfortable. Our check in was a little complicated but once we found where to enter (in the backyard) we were good to go. The property rental company was very easy to access and responsive. Although we didn't have any kids with us there are plenty of games for kids to play, a piano, which was a nice surprise and a great selection of local books to read which was nice too.
