Castleton, Vermont
Please do not request to book unless you have at least a two year history on VRBO. I am tired of the company check scams and will report everyone I receive.
I may need 24hr notice before arrival to ensure I can be there with keys. By booking you acknowledge and agree to pay legal fees and rental fees if you overstay without paying.
The building is a historical landmark known as The Dog built in 1903 with modern electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling. This is a multi room apartment, well lit apartment with a living room and a bedroom. The boat slip is across the street and can accommodate up to a 20ft boat. We have completely renovated the building and furnished the units with modern appliances. Come work remote, enjoy the lake, relax and have fun.
The space
Apt 2C is on the second floor of The Dog in Lake Bomoseen. There is a private bedroom (but no door), a living room with a Futon full sized fold out bed and a fold down couch bed. There is an office desk in the bedroom and a separate bathroom. An intercom video door entry is available to allow guests entry in the main door.
Guest access
The second floor has a small 2-person balcony shared by the three apartments on the floor. The ground floor porch is available for sitting. The boat docks are across the street. There is a general store across the parking lot.
Other things to note
There is not an elevator. The historic building is not ADA accessible.
The apartment was reasonably priced in close proximity to Killington Ski resort (45 min.) and we decided to give it a shut. The owner and on-site house keeper were very responsive. The apartment is large, clean, quite and equipped with basic kitchen appliances, plus - washer and dryer. We like to eat and cook at home and we had everything we needed. My only wish was that beds were queen size for such a large apartment. I would recommend it to friends.
We enjoyed our stay & would stay here again. Very clean & close to Castleton University!! Paul is very friendly & we loved the Vermont Country Store
The place was adorable and perfect for what we needed, which was a place to stay in order to attend a wedding at Lake Bomoseen Lodge. It was an easy drive and convenient having a general store directly behind. The only difficulty we had was checking in as we had to connect with Paul on-site and had no service. Luckily, we were able to bump into him in the parking lot and get in easily after that.
2 miles from the boat ramp at lake Bomoseen. Owner was attentive and helpful. Will definitely be staying again next year.
