Stayed Sep 12, 2022The location is superb. It’s in the NW corner of intramuros just steps from a beach entrance through the wall and steps up to the top of the old town wall. Two bedrooms and the living room have double French doors that open onto a narrow balcony with sea views. This is in a quiet area and a building separate from others, a not crowded area like some of the intramuros. Since the intramuros is not large, all other areas with shops, market and restaurants are in easily walkable distance. The apartment is comfortable with nice kitchen, living/dining room and bathroom. The elevator allows easy access to the higher floor which affords a good view with quietness. Since St. Malo tends to be a damp place, the bedding etc might tend to be a bit musty if the apartment is not used, but when we opened the French doors there was a nice breeze which refreshed the spaces. Communications with our representative Charlene were very good with prompt WhatsApp replies (in good English!) to any questions or needs. She booked a taxi for us to the train station when we left, a great help since there seemed to be no Uber service and some taxi companies didn’t speak English.

Stayed Aug 3, 2019We spent a very nice week in this flat. Françoise and Patricia were very welcoming and helpful. Having access to a private garage in St Malo was a huge bonus. The flat itself is spacious and very well located, we loved watching the sea from the living room window. The only downside was that the flat wasn't as clean as it could have been when we arrived - we had to start our stay with wiping dust and grime from some surfaces and appliances. We've been coming to St Malo for a few years now, and from our experience this seems to be a frequent problem in St Malo. We also travel a fair amount in Europe and usually find that the cleaning fee is included in the price and the flat is cleaned properly before guests arrive. In St Malo the optional cleaning fee is very high (one can have a cleaning lady in for about 5 hours for the equivalent of 60 euros around London ) and most disappointingly doesn't guarantee getting a clean flat on arrival e.g. if previous guests opt out and don't clean very well themselves. We chose to do it ourselves this time and certainly left the flat cleaner than we found it. I'd so much prefer to pay for professional cleaning upfront. With this sorted, I wouldn't mind staying in this flat again as it's nice otherwise.

Stayed Jul 12, 2018This place was absolutely magical. We were looking to book a place at Le Mont St Michel and stumbled upon Saint Malo. The ramparts, the culture, the food, the beach, the history and stunning beauty of this place is perhaps our biggest highlight on our wonderful trip through France. Patricia and Francois made sure our stay was great. The unit is large and was very clean and bright. Our family of 5 had no problem maneuvering in the unit.

Stayed Oct 28, 2017As a family of four, we rented the property for a week. Correspondence with the owner was very straightforward and agreeable. On arrival we liaised with Patricia Roslon who went out of her way to be helpful and was always available to handle questions. The flat is well equipped and spacious and recently renovated. Its major attraction is being in the Intra Muros part of St Malo, with private parking, only five minutes from the ramparts and the beach. There are also plenty on patisseries, shops, cafés and restaurants nearby. With good public transport we rarely needed to use the car. The only drawback we encountered is the lack of available wifi in the flat; we needed to visit a local café repeatedly for this.
