The place was super cute and they anticipated our every need. It was stocked with everything we could need and some.

This is a great spot with a lovely backyard to enjoy. The bus stop is on the corner and you can get just about anywhere from there so no need for a car. There are also several good restaurants, coffee shops, and bakeries within walking distance. The host is delightful, responsive, and will tell you all the best places to eat! We have stayed here before and will continue to do so.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Street parking was convenient and easy. This was a great location for going to a show at the Moda Center and provided an easy jumping off point to get to local restaurants and breweries.

Great little 1 bedroom basement apartment. Only issue is there are no USB ports for charging cell phones, etc. We did have a plug to adapt our charging cable but it was surprising not to have an outlet.

Laundry onsite, host was amazing with communication and approachable. Bed is at end of life, very soft with a hollow in middle, some areas of home were not cleaned well, bed base dusty dirty( what was visible beside mattress), bedside table wasn’t clean. Dishes put away by prior guests were dirty.I couldn’t adjust my heat, got a bit warm. This is the basement and there was significant creaky stair noise above the bed. That said this is a lovely place and was perfect for my stay and would stay there again.

Great stay, very comfortable, private and clean. No problem parking on the street, easy access to the apartment. Location was perfect for us. Loved the neighborhood, wonderful to walk. Go to St Simon's for coffee!

Very cute and easy to access! Felt safe, very sweet quiet neighborhood. Stayed during October and loved that a lot of the neighbors had Halloween decorations.

We stayed for only one night, but it was the perfect little spot. The backyard was a nice place to relax, and it was right down the street (walking distance) from a good coffee place. The bed was so comfortable, we slept perfectly throughout the night. We hope to come to Portland again for a longer stay, and if we do, we will definitely be looking for availability here before anywhere else.

We stayed 2 nights. It's a very nice apartment, clean, nice neighborhood, easy to access, comfortable. The back yard is lovely. We had a long travel day and enjoyed the bottle of wine out there. The ceilings are low, which was not an issue for us, but might be if you are very tall. Thank you.

Great location in a beautiful, historic area of Portland

We had a wonderful stay in the garden apartment at Irvington House. It is very clean and comfortable. We took advantage of the beautiful backyard several times by having dinner or a glass of wine on the patio. If you get a chance to say hi to Mark (the owner), please do! Not only is he extremely nice and fun to chat with, he is very knowledgeable about Portland and the Irvington neighborhood. Let's just say that our list of must visit restaurants is longer now than when we arrived! Although there are many, many amenities within walking distance, we were thrilled to discover the bus stop on the corner of the block. We were able to get to just about anywhere in the city using this bus or combo of busses/light rail. And don't miss the cutest coffee shop at the end of the block to the north. Choice of Safeway or Whole Foods within walking distance (for us). The apartment itself is comfortable, clean, and has all the necessities. We will definitely stay with Mark again!

Cool & comfortable! Everything we needed, plus easy street parking right in front. We really appreciated being able to do a load of laundry after several days on the road.

As advertised. Very comfortable. Great backyard.

Unfortunately the bed was extremely soft and high off the floor. I had yo use a step stool to get on the bed and my husband had to sleep on the couch bed which was firmer. Fortunately I had a mat that I could put on the bed so I could sleep. The rental was nice enough other then the bed and small couch.

This property is located within easy walking distance of restaurants, coffee houses and groceries. Easy stair access with secure handrails. We also enjoyed the beautiful garden.

My partner and I stayed here for a show at Wonder Ballroom because it was within walking distance. Great little place to stay and plan to be back! We appreciate the cleanliness and homey-feel.

This was our third stay at this property. It is very well kept and convent to our family.

I stayed here while attending a conference at the Oregon Convention Centre. It was a very easy and quick ride (one bus, 10 mins) on public transit to and from the Convention Centre. The apartment is in a basement and was clean and comfortable. It was very quiet except for one night when I could hear someone walking around upstairs early in the morning. It had all the amenities I needed - no dishwasher but I was one person and didn't cook or eat there much except for breakfast so that wasn't a big deal. The property owner was quick to respond to any questions I had. The neighbourhood was nice and felt safe, I walked around a fair amount.

Pictures were great, in person it was better than expected. Very clean. Very warm. I would really recommend this place to anyone!

Great location and very clean and comfortable!

Nice area with lots of older homes so we enjoyed some walks when we weren’t visiting family. Coffee, breakfast and McMenimans all within a 5 minute walk.

Great neighborhood with many conveniences within walking distance. Everything we needed within the apartment. My only complaint was the neighbor’s sprinkler system which went off and beat on the bedroom window every morning at 5:20. Startled me when it went off and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Took me awhile to figure out what was happening!

Great location. Concrete floor. Bedroom was stuffy with poor circulation unless the door is open, which you'd rather not do with others sleeping on the pullout couch. Pullout couch is fine but no linens or blankets. When asked about it, owner blamed us for not calling for help, but it was very late. Then blame us for not reading the Welcome email from Vrbo. Nothing there. Scanned the code later. Not there. Kids slept without linen but found a blanket on the laundry floor. The house rules required renter to clean up the unit, which no other Vrbo host asks for. So what's the service fee and host fees for which doubles the upfront cost?

This is our second time at this property. Very clean, nice historic neighborhood to walk.

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Portland! You can walk to Moda Center if seeing a show and there are lots of nearby options for food within walking distance as well. Just a drive to check out other parts of Portland. I would definitely stay here again!
