Stayed Jun 29, 2024We always love staying at the Homeplace it is like being at home but while on vacation. It's comfortable it has all of the amenities that are needed and it is centrally located to all the activities that we find fun, hiking, Swimming at Smith Mountain lake, going to winery's meaderys etc. and the beauty that surrounds the house and the orchard just can't be beat. Thank you to the Gross family for always making our stay warm and welcoming.

Stayed May 9, 2024We needed a place for family to gather while coming and going from Lynchburg and Liberty University. The size of the home and the setting were great! We had plenty of elbow room and loved seeing the goats and donkey and a wonderful walk through the orchard. The drive into Lynchburg was easier than expected, but this location is definitely off the beaten path and meant once you get back to the house you stay. The bathroom needs some TLC and upkeep. This is definitely an older farmhouse feel and just needs a deep clean.
