Stayed Dec 31, 1969After 3 very busy days in Rome, we really loved staying at this beautiful farm in Tuscany. The apartment was beautiful!! Better then we expected. Giovanni and his wife were very hospitable. We were welcomed with a fresh baked cake, Wine, olive oil and Jam on our table. Giovanni showed us around the farm. It was beautiful and amazing. This is the real thing!! Enjoyed seeing all the animals. He showed us his cellar where he makes his own wines and olive oils. Also his room where he hangs his prosciutto and sausages. We enjoyed tasting his products. We enjoyed sitting under the grape laden arbors outside our room. Giovanni cut us a bunch to enjoy. The town of Cetona was a lovely hillside town. We enjoyed our best dinner in Italy at the ristorante at the end of the piazza. We visited Assisi, Orvieto and Sienna. We were going to go to Montepulciano but decided to enjoy staying at the farm instead. Very relaxing and we felt very much at home. Enjoyed our visits with Giovanni. Argo became our good friend!
