Groveland is a growing community in Lake County, Florida. It is one of the fastest-growing areas in the state. It has seen its land area increased tremendously over the years to cater to the growing number of people coming around. The city features a couple of neighborhoods and is included in the Orlando-Kissimmee-Sanford Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Rapid growth has been witnessed in Groveland over the past couple of decades. This has led to its land area increasing several times more than the original size through annexation of surrounding areas. The land area had increased fivefold as of 2010. According to the United States Census Bureau, Groveland covers a total area of 3 square miles, out of which almost 13 percent is water. It was the fastest-growing community in the state of Florida between 2000 and 2010, with population rising from 2,360 residents to more than 8,700 over the period. The number of people living in the city was estimated at 11,528 in 2015.
The community boasts an impressive diversity in terms of those who make their homes here. The major ancestries of residents include German, English, Irish, French and Italian. It appears like a rising number of rich families are moving to the area, which is a great location for families. In 2000, about 55 percent of the people living there were couples who lived together. Spanish is the most popular language that is spoken in Groveland homes, after English.

Groveland enjoys access to a decent transportation arrangement. It lies at the intersection of State Road 33/50 and State Road 19. Air transport is available at Osborn Airfield, which is located southwest of the city. The airport is actually a private air travel facility, but it is available for general aviation needs.
