Access is through a smart lock, with a custom code set for the duration of each guest's stay.brbrThe hosts purchased the chalet in August 2022 and spent six months renovating it before making it available to our guests. The chalet is intimate enough for a couple's getaway, but flexible enough to host a group of friends or a family or two! It sits at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on an acre of forest. It has two bedrooms with king -size beds, two renovated bathrooms, a bunkhouse-style sleeping loft, brand-new kitchen, amazing great room with new gas fireplace and dining area for up to twelve, a sunroom/game room with a surprisingly comfortable sleep sofa. There is fast wifi, two dedicated work spaces, and 3 smart TVs in the chalet. We do have the best filtration systems, water softener and a uv light to kill bacteria but rarely when the Cabin hasn't been used you could smell a sulfur smell that goes away with running the water.brbrA 25-30 minute drive will lead you to Berkeley Springs, Wv. Aka America's First Spa, check out the natural springs, distinctive shops, dining, theater, live music, and holiday festivities. Berkeley Springs is known to have some of the best spas around. Or take a Hike to Harpers Ferry.brbrYou must wear a life jacket while Kayaking and have a fishing license to fish as required by law.brbrThere is no lifeguard and you enter the Potomac River at your own risk.brGuest accessbrParking is right behind the cabin in the gravel. Your area is the deck and gravel space in front with the fire pit. This entire area is yours. This home features a queen bedroom downstairs and a loft king bedroom upstairs. The king bedroom is open, overlooking the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling windows that span both stories. There is a bonus sunroom that receives sunlight all day long with a trundle bed featuring two twin mattresses. Off the bonus room is a screened-in porch with a ceiling fan, perfect for watching the deer and other wildlife with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. brbrWe highly recommend that you download the Merlin Bird Id app during your stay as these woods are rich with wildlife! While we also fully recommend disconnecting from all technology, we also offer high speed wifi as well as a smart tv for a cozy movie night in or those days that you need to work from home.brbrGuest accessbrGuests will have access to the entire home.brbrOther things to notebrGuest passes are required to access the amenities belong to The Woods.
