RELAIS MARINA PICCOLA: A BALCONY SUSPENDED BETWEEN HEAVEN AND SEA

Vieste, Puglia, Italy

Spectacular, elegant, spacious, very bright, comfortable apartment close to the sea and the historic center of Vieste, with breathtaking views that range from the emerald sea of the harbor to, below the house, the enchanting beach of Marina Piccola.brThe result of a recently completed complete renovation, located on the third floor of a building with a lift (which cannot be found in Vieste in the historic center and with this view), the accommodation, of around 100 m2, is air-conditioned and consists of two bedrooms , one with a double bed and the other with two single beds, two bathrooms in fine ceramic, equipped with showers, and finally a living area with atrium, desk corner, open kitchen, dining room and living room also equipped with a sofa double bed.brThe apartment also has an extraordinary balcony which, with its 14 meters in length, gives light to all the rooms and one of the two bathrooms. And, as if it were the side deck of a ship magically moored in Marina Piccola, it overlooks the changing colors of the scenic sea of Vieste. The balcony, with its 25 m2, also allows for pleasant living at any time of the day or evening. Equipped with table, chairs and deckchairs, it is an extraordinary place for an aperitif or dinner, as well as for sunbathing in the morning or for reading and entertaining in the afternoon and evening.brBut unforgettable is the view that, even from inside the house, is always in your eyes: it includes the ancient outline of the town made up of cubic white houses crowded on the sloping hill, on which the spire of the Cathedral and the cyclopean walls of the Castle stand out . Dense cluster of medieval buildings that end, overlooking the sea, with the bastion of the Church of Punta San Francesco. While on the left from the nearby rock of Sant'Eufemia, the profile of the large lighthouse lantern stands out.brRight below the house it is possible to dive into the transparent waters of the Marina Piccola beach. While the large beaches of Vieste are easily reachable on foot with a short walk of a quarter of an hour, especially that of San Lorenzo, but Pizzomunno also requires only a few more steps. By car, obviously, even the most distant beaches can be reached in a few minutes.brThe port, and therefore the embarkation point for the Caves or the Tremiti Islands or even the pier for renting dinghies, are located behind the accommodation, not even 100 meters away. There are also some, very few free parking spaces available on the seafront, which is very rare in Vieste, but above all, which is equally rare in the centre. In any case, 50 meters from the house there is an affiliated car park, uncovered but guarded, and large paid car parks are always easily accessible, especially near the port. Finally, bars, restaurants, shops, supermarkets and even the pedestrian area are within walking distance, but the particular position of the apartment, away from the seafront, protects from the evening noise.brFinally, the stylistic code of the furnishings tries to rediscover, a hundred years later, the life balance of a cultured, liberal and Central European bourgeoisie of the first decades of the last century, combining fine furniture of the period, mostly art deco, together with contemporary examples of cabinetmaking that recall ancient inlay techniques, such as the precious Piedmontese dining table or the small Provençal desk with olive root flap. Furniture carefully restored and combined with interesting modern design elements such as the kitchen lacquered with an aubergine color gloss or furnishing lamps or the very modern waterfall taps or, again, the handles made, to design, with lost wax castings in brass . The sense of comfort and well-being that the house inspires in its guests is completed by the large quantity of carpets and paintings in every room: in particular, original paintings and fakes coexist happily.brCIS (Structure Identification Code) FG07106091000031248
