The owners found in Salento the ideal Mediterranean location for their holiday house. After a door-to-door hunt in the historic centre of Galatone they opened the door of this unique house of 60 sqm with 80 sqm of terraces on three levels, and made it their own in 2008. With 9 months of patient remodeling with local contractors and craftsmen, this house now features exquisite antique and handmade furniture and finishings. The well, the niches, the fireplace, the amazing stone vaulted ceiling of the living area were brought back to life in a more contemporary interior design. The huge master bedroom was rearranged to sleep comfortably 4 people with a newly designed mezzanine, and to create a large bathroom with double sinks and a floor-to-ceiling tiled shower room. The house has fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning/heating, TV with DVD, a large canopy with 2 sun beds on the upper terrace plus a fabulous open-air shower to end up your summer day in the best possible way. Sip your “aperitivo” in the front terrace. Take a walk and awe at the beautiful architecture of the historical neighborhood. Take the car to explore olive groves, ancient ruins, beautifully preserved villages, beaches and to discover the simply great food this land has to offer. Make your own Best of Salento!

Immersed in the heart of the Salento countryside, a few kilometers from the beaches of Gallipoli, these fascinating stone trulli represent a typical rural building of the territory (called Pajara) carefully restored to offer an authentic and comfortable stay. br The two trulli are surrounded by a large plot full of fruit trees and by a natural quiet that regenerates body and mind. One trullo has a double bedroom and a bunk bed in the dining area; the second trullo has a double bedroom and a bedroom with two single beds. Both trulli have their own bathroom and kitchen. The interiors are simple but functional, characterized by thick stone walls that guarantee freshness even during the summer months. Guests have access to the entire countryside, the area is fenced with a gated entrance. In the estate there is also an area with a large patio with tables, wood oven and barbecue, ideal for convivial evenings under the stars, amidst the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and the breeze that comes from the sea. In addition to the shared outdoor area, each trullo has its own patio so each family or group will have their own privacy. Optimal position to reach all the various marinas and the localities of the Salento hinterland. You will simply be delighted by the peace and tranquility that Casa Martilde offers its guests, unique scents and colors will deeply mark your senses. The house consists of 2 large double bedrooms, of which Martina room with ensuite bathroom, air-conditioned, air-conditioned living room and kitchen and bathroom, 2 shaded external verandas one to the east and the other to the west complete with tables and chairs, a particular solarium of about 30 square meters obtained in a portion of a quarry with 4 solarium beds, a prive always obtained in another quarry with rocking sofas to spend the evening relaxing hours, barbecue, outdoor shower, large exclusive parking and places shaded cars, over 3000 square meters of garden, equipped with new fixtures complete with mosquito nets, alarm system.
