Palazzo Andriani - Nobile Apt

Galatina, LE, Italy

Google Palazzo Andriani Galatina for a full list of reviewsbrbrABOUT PALAZZO ANDRIANIbrThe Nobile Apartment offers a rare sense of space and privacy within Galatina’s historic center. Set inside Palazzo Andriani, a 16th-century residence carefully restored after years of neglect, the home preserves its architectural character while introducing modern comfort with restraint and intention.brbrUnlike many historic-center apartments, this one feels open and expansive, defined by cathedral-like stone vaulted ceilings rising 20 feet. The layout includes a large bedroom, two full bathrooms, a generous lounge, and a professionally equipped kitchen designed for real cooking and easy entertaining. A private terrace and balcony extend the living space outdoors, allowing for relaxed dining for up to eight—either indoors or al fresco above the rooftops of the townbrbrAlthough cafés, churches, and the everyday life of Galatina are just moments away, the apartment remains quietly removed. Its scale, light, and thoughtful separation of spaces create a calm, retreat-like atmosphere—equally well suited to a short escape or a longer stay. With fast, reliable Wi-Fi, modern amenities discreetly integrated throughout, and ample room to settle in, it offers an authentic yet elevated base for experiencing Salento at a slower, more considered pace.brbrABOUT GALATINAbrStaying in the historic center of Galatina places you inside the natural rhythm of southern Italian life. Just beyond the door, the town unfolds at its own pace—neighbors exchanging greetings, church bells marking the hours, and a steady flow of local activity that brings markets, music, and seasonal celebrations into the streets.brbrGalatina is one of Puglia’s quieter revelations: elegant without display, deeply historic yet largely untouched by mass tourism. Its Baroque center is defined by noble palazzi, finely carved stone portals, wrought-iron balconies, and winding basolato lanes that reward slow exploration. Landmarks such as the extraordinary Basilica di Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, renowned for its frescoes, are an easy walk away, as are cafés, wine bars, small boutiques, and excellent local restaurants woven into everyday life.brbrWhat distinguishes Galatina is its authenticity. The town feels lived-in rather than curated—social yet unhurried, welcoming without spectacle. Traditions such as pizzica music and long-standing folk customs remain part of daily life, not performances for visitors. And as the birthplace of the iconic pasticciotto at Ascalone, even a routine morning visit to the local bakery becomes a ritual worth savoring.brbrFrom here, it’s easy to immerse yourself in genuine Salento culture while remaining well positioned to explore Lecce, the surrounding countryside and vineyards, and the nearby coast.

Palazzo Andriani - Grande Apt

Galatina, Province of Lecce, Italy

Google Palazzo Andriani Galatina for a full list of reviewsbrbrABOUT PALAZZO ANDRIANIbrWhat sets this property apart is a rare combination of generous space, privacy, historic character, and the slower rhythm of southern Italy—an atmosphere that allows guests to truly lose themselves in space and time.brbrPalazzo Andriani dates to the 16th century and has been carefully restored after years of neglect, preserving its original architectural soul while introducing modern comfort and thoughtful design. The result is a spacious two-bedroom home with three full bathrooms, a private entrance, a private balcony, and multiple private outdoor terraces—an exceptional offering within a historic center.brbrDespite being just moments from cafés, churches, and the everyday life of the town, the apartment feels quietly removed. Its layout and scale create a sense of calm more often found in countryside homes than in historic centers. With ample indoor and outdoor space, a professionally equipped kitchen, a dedicated work area, high-speed WiFi, and modern amenities discreetly integrated throughout, the apartment is particularly well suited for extended stays, traveling together, or guests seeking an authentic yet elevated Salento experience.brbrABOUT GALATINAbrThe historic center of Galatina offers an unfiltered view of daily life in Salento. Here, centuries-old architecture and contemporary routines exist side by side. Mornings begin with the rhythm of espresso cups and distant church bells; afternoons unfold at an unhurried pace shaped by local habits rather than tourism. Evenings often bring small, unplanned moments—music drifting through narrow streets, neighbors gathering in a piazza, or a seasonal market appearing without notice.brbrGalatina is best explored on foot. Its historic core is a quiet network of stone lanes, Baroque façades, and timeworn palazzi that reveal the town’s layered past without spectacle. Cafés, bakeries, wine bars, and restaurants are woven naturally into everyday life, encouraging guests to slow down and settle in rather than rush from sight to sight.brbrArt and tradition are part of the living landscape. Ornate churches with richly decorated interiors sit alongside modest courtyards shaped by generations of family life. Local customs—most notably pizzica music and long-standing festivals—are still practiced for the community itself, not staged for visitors.brbrFood plays a central role here. As the birthplace of the iconic pasticciotto, Galatina turns a simple visit to the bakery into a daily ritual worth lingering over.brbrStaying in this neighborhood offers a genuine Salento experience—grounded, warm, and understated—while remaining an ideal base for exploring Lecce, the surrounding countryside and vineyards, and the nearby Ionian and Adriatic coasts.

Life here unfolds naturally—neighbors greeting one another in the morning, the gentle build of activity through the day, and the evening passeggiata animating the streets below as locals drift past on their nightly stroll.brbrGalatina captures the elegance of Salento Baroque while remaining grounded and unhurried. Its historic core is beautifully preserved, with noble palazzi, warm limestone façades, and wrought-iron balconies lining narrow streets made for wandering. The town is effortlessly walkable, with cafés, trattorie, wine bars, artisan shops, and welcoming piazzas all close at hand, encouraging a slower, more immersive way of being.brbrHistory is woven into everyday surroundings. Within a short walk, you’ll encounter landmarks such as the extraordinary Basilica di Santa Caterina d’Alessandria, remnants of the old city gates, and quiet interior courtyards shaped by generations of shared life. Traditions tied to pizzica music, seasonal festivals, and ancient folk beliefs remain part of the town’s identity—lived rather than reenacted.brbrGalatina is also deeply rooted in food culture. As the birthplace of the iconic pasticciotto, even a simple visit to the local bakery, Ascalone, becomes a daily ritual, enjoyed much as it has been for centuries.brbrFrom this neighborhood, guests can immerse themselves in genuine Salento life while remaining ideally positioned to explore Lecce, the surrounding countryside and vineyards, and the nearby coast.

Villa

Stunning country mansion with huge pool & park

Galatina, Galatina, Italy

You are booking a beautiful country house that has been owned by a well known family from Lecce for decades. The house is embedded in a park-like garden, with a huge pool (approx. 18x4 meters), a water lily pond with goldfish, a pine forest, many fruit trees and roses and a boccia court (boules/petanque). Everything at your exclusive disposal and not shared with anybody else. brbrThe villa is very spacious and has a large living and dining area with sofas and a dining table and chairs, a well-equipped kitchen, two spacious bedrooms each with their own bathroom with shower, as well as an additional shower room and a laundry room with washing machine. The kitchen has a gas stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer, toaster, kettle as well as cooking utensils and everything you need for cooking. The high, vaulted ceilings in the Salento style and the partly antique furniture give the house an aristocratic touch. The house is air-conditioned (in the living room, and there are additional fans in the bedrooms), has mosquito nets and is almost completely surrounded by a covered terrace, which is partly overgrown with climbing jasmine, which provides pleasant shade in the hot summer midday hours. brbrThe highlight of the approximately 10,000 square meter (1 hectare) property is the XXL pool, waiting for you to swim laps or for the whole family to play, relax or cool off. Sun loungers are available next to the pool; If necessary, these can simply be moved a few meters into the pine forest. In general, the garden is a botanical highlight with many trees, bushes, perennials and the aforementioned water lily pond. Of course, you are welcome to pick ripe fruit and use it to conjure up a fruit salad for the barbecue evening, for example A charcoal grill is available for you. brbrThe park is fully fenced, and pets are welcome. brbrThe property is only about 3 km from the city center of Galatina, the Assisi of the South, known for its Gothic Basilica of Santa Caterina with its frescoes, and as the home of the now famous pastry Pasticciotto that you can try here in all variations, ideally for a sweet breakfast accompanied by a cappuccino. About 1 km from the house is the town of Sogliano Cavour with a few supermarkets, a bakery, pizzerias and restaurants. brbrGalatina is very centrally located in the province of Lecce, so all of the region's special places and sights are easily accessible. The nearest beaches are on the Ionian Sea north of Gallipoli (20-25 km from the house), where we particularly recommend the coastal town of Santa Maria al Bagno and the golden sandy beaches of Padula Bianca and Rivabella. The Adriatic coast, on the other hand, offers beautiful sandy beaches (Alimini) north of Otranto, while south of it is one of the most spectacular stretches of coast in Puglia, with steep cliffs, bays, sea caves and the lighthouse of Punta Palascia, the easternmost point in Italy. We organize boat tours every Wednesday from May to September in Torre Vado, located south of the house in the direction of Santa Maria di Leuca. brbr brbr brbr Sheets, duvets and towels are not included. If you don't want to bring them with you from home, regardless of the length of your stay, you can rent them for €26 per person. brbr Final cleaning is not included and costs €140, unless you clean yourselves before departure. brbr Dogs and pets are welcome, if you inform us in advance! Surcharge: €150 for the 1st one, €75 each for the others. Usually max 1 large or 2 small ones are allowed, but exceptions might be possible upon request. brbr We will ask you to pay a security deposit of €600 before arrival. The security deposit will be refunded within 7 days after departure, if there is no damage. brbr Electricity costs (and thus where applicable AC, hot water, heating etc.) are NOT included in the price and will be charged based on your actual consumption. The price per kWh charged to guests was €0,37 on 20/03/2026, when this text was last updated. Prices may slightly change over time. brbrFeel free to reach out and we will be happy to share the average electricity consumption data for the season you're interested in. brbr brbr brbr ABOUT US brbrWe're a team of holiday enthusiasts with diverse backgrounds based between Italy and Switzerland. brbrOur mission is to find the most unique holiday homes, refurbish them and make them available to people like you, who want to live the authentic Italian experience at a high (Swiss!) quality, without spending a fortune brbr brbr By booking this accommodation, you accept that: brbr We are obliged by law to verify the identity of all our guests. Private Vacation Home

Stylish Art Deco holiday home in historical Baroque old town palazzo, Puglia

Galatina, Puglia, Italy

Comfortably accomodating two to seven people, this spacious 4-bedroom art-deco styled town house was originally part of a 16th Century library and has since been renovated to an extremely high standard by award winning 'Puglia Estates' as seen on Grand Designs. The apartment spans back from a grand entrance and stair-case to reveal room upon room of living space. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with 5-burner gas stove, dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer However, the real heart of the cooking/eating area is the original kitchen where once wood burning stoves were located and which leads out onto a beautiful dining terrace for enjoying breakfast or an evening bottle of wine al-fresco. The townhouse consists of a large lounge, 3 double bedrooms (two en-suite) mean you don't have to struggle with sofa-beds and a large spectacular roof terrace combined with two further private terraces allow a variety of sunbathing options. The apartment has aircon in every room.brbrbrAdditional information: As with many old properties in Italy, there are lots of steep marble stairs between floors (the ceilings are very high and the house spans over 3 floors), and very high roof terraces with waist high walls. As a result, the apartment may be unsuitable for people of reduced/impaired mobility or young children (under 10). It is the guests' responsibility to ensure the safety of their children. Having said this, the apartment is full of character and original features, and the high terraces afford spectacular views of Galatina and the surrounding area. Smokers are welcome, but we do request that guests only smoke outdoors on the roof terraces.brbrYou will be met at the house with the keys and shown around by someone who has lived in the area for a few years. This allows us to impart some very local knowledge such as the best places to eat, or the nicest beach to get your suntan.
