Seli Village House is a beautiful traditional stone house for 6 persons situated in a small picturesque village in the western part of the magical island of Crete and was originally built in 1730. The residence name is inspired by the location of the building. This specific neighborhood of the village Kampos was known as “Seli” which means horse saddle in Venetian language (“cella”) and describes the hills shape on which it is built on. The house is completely renovated and modernized in 2017 with a lot of respect and love to the traditional details. The ground floor, Apartment Anaxagoras (a studio for 2 people), is characterized by an original Venetian style arch which in an open space arrangement divides the living from the sleeping area. From here you have the direct access to the romantic garden area with big dining table, sun loungers and BBQ. The upper floor, Apartment Chrysi, with its two bedrooms for 4 people offers a wide valley view until the sea. At the property there is a big yard with outside furniture to enjoy your meals or drinking your wine and a barbeque.brOn the way to Elafonissi beach from the road running along the west coast of Crete, there is the beautiful village of Kambos belonging to Kissamos province. From there a short dirt road heads to the west and leads to the lush canyon of Kambos, being the westernmost gorge of Crete. The gorge gathers water from the small massif of Koutroulis. Along the canyon there is a beautiful trekking path running below the shadow of huge plane trees, next to the river bed which’s first part has water all year round. The walls have impressive formations for half an hour, till we reach a water spring. There we meet again the road that descends from the village to the cavernous church of Agia Ekaterini and Agia Marina, a few meters later. Trekking along the riverbed is some years hard, due to dense vegetation and water.
