The range covers an area of 2400 hectares on the South Pembrokeshire coast within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.The Castlemartin military range closes for the month of August and there are guided walks available during August on the scenic coastal area that covers the military range.Castlemartin has the highest concentration of seabirds on the Pembrokeshire mainland, including Guillemots, Razorbills and Kittiwakes.  Most important of all, it provides an ideal habitat for the nationally-rare Chough. The coastal heath and unimproved grassland also supports birds such as Wheatears, Skylarks, Meadow Pipits and Stonechats.The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, a National Trail, crosses Range East (during non-firing periods) and inland along 8 km of roads past Range West. Bangeston Farmhouse is a magnificent fusion of quality, design and genuinely environmentally sustainable building and decorative solutions, creating a highly efficient and eco-friendly holiday home. The lawned and paved garden features a wood burning hot tub; from here holiday guests can see the wildflower roof, sown with grasses and wildflowers. The Cedar hot tub is heated by a log burner. This will require 3 - 4 hours of heating to bring the hot tub up to temperature. You will need to keep refilling the burner during this time. There are no jets, just the lovely sound of crackling wood. Rainwater is harvested for the toilet and washing machine, solar panels heat water, wood pellets fuel the boiler and a state of the art heat exchanger circulates fresh, warm air throughout the house, this, combined with triple glazing and thick insulation, heats the first and second floors. Furnished in a contemporary style that beautifully enhances the retained original features with A frame beams, reclaimed slate floors and rich handcrafted carpentry throughout which will only delight.The location is fantastic too; East Angle Bay is 750m from the house, where you can join the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. It is mostly a pebble beach which disappears at high tide. There is the odd patch of sand, but it is mostly a lovely place to look at shells and sea life. Enjoy the peace and quiet, watching the boats passing by while the pretty, sleepy village of Angle is a further short walk from here. The sandy West Angle Bay is just over 2 miles away.
