Bamburgh, Bamburgh, United Kingdom

Once the royal capital of the kingdom of Northumbria, Bamburgh is famed for its stunning beach and spell-binding castle. A 15-mile drive away and world-famous for its medieval religious heritage and 16th-century castle, Lindisfarne – also known as Holy Island – can be reached via a paved causeway when the tides permit. Less than 4 miles in the opposite direction, the fishing village of Seahouses has a bustling harbour where boats offer trips to the nearby Farne Islands, a haven for puffins and seals, plus dolphins can often be seen swimming in the surrounding waters.brbrbrBehind the beach hut-like exterior of this distinctive Bamburgh abode is a spacious, classically styled holiday home that’s perfect for a large family or group of friends. Within sight of the castle, it boasts a wood burner, fashionable free-standing bath and fantastic play facilities for off-beach fun – no wonder it was once chosen by The Times as one of the ‘50 best cottages, beach houses and rural retreats’! All the accommodation here is on ground level, and the warm welcome begins in the cosy lounge where there’s space for everyone to gather and a wood burner to add a warm glow in the cooler months. At the rear of the property, the kitchen/diner has patio doors to the garden, while its on-trend fittings include a range-style cooker and large fridge/freezer. At the end of a busy day, four comfortable bedrooms await. The master bedroom has a super-king-size bed and en-suite shower room, and there are two double bedrooms and one further bedroom with full-size twin beds. To complete the convenience, there’s a family bathroom with free-standing bath and an additional, separate shower room.brbrbrThere’s an enclosed lawned garden at the front of the property with views of the castle. To the rear, the landscaped garden (reached via a few steps) has patio furniture and large timber play equipment which children will love. Cross the road, stroll through the dunes and you’ll be on Bamburgh Beach in no time!brbrbrbr - 4 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 2 doubles, 1 twinbrbr - 3 bathrooms – 1 en suite shower room with WC, 1 bathroom with free-standing bath and WC, 1 shower room with WCbrbr - Cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machinebrbr - Highchair and travel cotbrbr - Wood burner (first basket of logs included during winter months)brbr - Smart TVbrbr - Mobile signal is weak – landline telephone available with honesty boxbrbr - Garden with outdoor furniture and timber play equipment for childrenbrbr - Private parking for 2 cars, additional on-street parkingbrbr - Beach 500 metresbrbr - Shop and pub 1 milebrbrHouse RulesbrbrAdditional information and rulesbrbrNo dogs allowedbrbrbr - 4 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 2 doubles, 1 twinbrbr - 3 bathrooms – 1 en suite shower room with WC, 1 bathroom with free-standing bath and WC, 1 shower room with WCbrbr - Cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machinebrbr - Highchair and travel cotbrbr - Wood burner (first basket of logs included during winter months)brbr - Smart TVbrbr - Mobile signal is weak – landline telephone available with honesty boxbrbr - Garden with outdoor furniture and timber play equipment for childrenbrbr - Private parking for 2 cars, additional on-street parkingbrbr - Beach 500 metresbrbr - Shop and pub 1 milebrbrbrAdditional information and rulesbrbrNo dogs allowedbrbrbr - 4 bedrooms – 1 super-king-size, 2 doubles, 1 twinbrbr - 3 bathrooms – 1 en suite shower room with WC, 1 bathroom with free-standing bath and WC, 1 shower room with WCbrbr - Cooker, microwave, coffee maker, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machinebrbr - Highchair and travel cotbrbr - Wood burner (first basket of logs included during winter months)brbr - Smart TVbrbr - Mobile signal is weak – landline telephone available with honesty boxbrbr - Garden with outdoor furniture and timber play equipment for childrenbrbr - Private parking for 2 cars, additional on-street parkingbrbr - Beach 500 metresbrbr - Shop and pub 1 milebrbrbrbrHost Terms & ConditionsbrbrThe Travel Chapter Limited, trading as “holidaycottages·co·uk”, acts as agent for the property owner.
