The kitchen, dining and living room are all open for lots of family togetherness. There is a queen size hide-a-bed with memory foam mattress in the living room. The roomy deck has a table with lighted solar umbrella and chairs. There are also chaise lounges and a porch swing. There is also a removable gate for pets and young children. Upper deck has a bistro table and 2 chairs. brThe ski area is 1 mile for downhill skiing and tubing in winter, biking and hiking and zipline in the summer. A hike in national forest is 1/2 mile away. The Country Club is 1 1/2 miles away for golf, tennis and basketball, a pool and weight room and restaurants and bar. The top floor has 2 bedrooms (one with queen bed and one with king bed) and a full bathroom. The main floor has a master bedroom with a king bed and full bathroom with shower and Jacuzzi tub. There is also a half-bath on the main floor. The bottom floor has a bedroom with a queen bed, and a kids' room separated by a curtain with a set of bunk beds. Bedrooms and bathrooms are fully stocked with pillows, linens/blankets, towels, shampoo and body wash, hair dryers and hand soap. brbrLIVING AREAS:brYour group will enjoy spreading out in the multiple living areas in the house. The main floor has a living room with comfy furniture and a gas fireplace. The living room is part of a great room area connected to the kitchen and breakfast eating area – one of my personal favorite times is when you are in the house during a snowstorm – watching snow fall across the valley onto the trees is just magical. On the lower floor is the gameroom where families can gather to play air hockey or watch TV together or play cards, games or puzzles – all provided for you. The kids' room is a fun haven for the little ones with board games, stuffed animals and toys. brbrKITCHEN/DININGbrCreating and eating meals together is another way to create great family memories and the Mountain Serenity home provides everything you need. Our kitchen features stainless appliances, a double oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, coffee makers (regular and a Keurig), blender, griddle, crockpot. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, utensils are all provided. In addition, we have a cabinet full of olive oil, flour, sugar, and spices to get you started. And on the back covered porch is a gas grill.brFor dining seating, we have several options – there are 2 barstools at the kitchen counter, a breakfast table that seats 4 and also a full dining room with doors that close for privacy and a huge table that seats 8 people. brbrENTERTAINMENT INDOORS:brWe aim to provide the ingredients for everyone to have fun and be entertained while inside the Mountain Serenity home. The gameroom has an air hockey table, TV with DVD player, a card table and puzzles and games. The living area has a sound system with radio and connections for your smart phone to play music that way. The house has high speed internet and wifi. There's also a TV and DVD player in the master bedroom. brbrENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS:brOutside, we aim to provide the setting for fun family memories. The back of the house has a deck with rocking chairs and side tables – picture your family having coffee in the morning or celebrating happy hour in the afternoon while taking in the mountain air and spotting wildlife in the valley most commonly seen around dawn and dusk. The front porch is covered and has a porch swing and table and chairs – great for watching kids play in the yard or sitting and staying dry while watching a rain shower or snow storm. There's a gas grill on the covered back porch as well for grilling in summer or winter. The front yard has a firepit with stocked wood pile for family gatherings in winter or summer. On the front porch is the hot tub, perfect for family conversations and relaxation after skiing or hiking. Relax on the hammock in the yard in the summer while watching the kids play on our homemade see-saw. It's so nice to watch kids explore nature in our huge yard and the woods beside our house – and in the summers here where the temperature is in the 70s, kids play outside all day long – like when we all grew up. In the winter, our driveway is perfect for sledding (we provide the sleds) and the yard perfect for snowmen and snowball fights.brThe Angel Fire hiking trail system is adjacent to the house and is great for family walks (the Elk trail is directly behind our house and there's a trail from our back yard to get to it). You can walk to the grocery store from these trails and walk all around Angel Fire from these trails. brbrLAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOMbrEntering the house from the garage is our mud room/laundry room. It has ample hooks for coats and rubber mats for boots. We have a front load washer and dryer with provided detergent and dryer sheets. There is another area inside the front door with boot mats and a hall closet for coats so everyone can spread out. brbrPARKING/GARAGE:brWhen you get to the house, we have a garage to park your vehicle in, which you'll appreciate in the winter. Our house sits down from the road so the driveway slopes down to the house. We spend a lot of time and expense maintaining the driveway so that it's easy for people to get down and less intimidating for those who aren't used to driving in the snow. Our property manager will have the driveway plowed and cindered after a storm and you are able to request additional plowings at any time should you need it. Each of the spacious bedrooms has a king bed and its own smart TV. So no more fighting over the best room! Every couple can have a king bed of their own in a room lush with intentional decor. brbr** Starshine Lodge offers a warm and inviting experience, with so many beautiful southwest touches. With cozy considered furnishings and exquisite views, you will delight in simply watching the sunset from the deck, soaking in the hot tub, having a movie night in the living room or sunroom, or curling up next to the woodstove or fire pit. brbr** The house sleeps 11, with a unique open floor plan on the upper level featuring the primary bedroom suite, kids' bunk area, and additional king bedroom. There is also a king bedroom on the lower level next to the main living space, and room for two more in the sunroom, with its twin bed and trundle. brbr** The house is fully stocked with everything you could need for your stay. In each bathroom, we provide linens and towels, shampoo, body wash, and a hair dryer. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans, and other cooking utensils you need, as well as paper towels, napkins, spices, olive oil, dish soap, and dishwashing detergent. All you need to buy is the food! The upper-level primary suite boasts a king-sized canopy bed, a spacious walk-in closet, a stunning ensuite bathroom, SmartTV, desk area, and access to an outdoor patio with seating for four. This elegant sunken suite is unique in that it's open to the upper floor, offering visual privacy while still maintaining a sense of openness. While truly breathtaking, please note that this space is best suited for those who don’t mind the sounds from the rest of the house.brbrAdjacent to the primary suite, you'll find the kids' bunk area, featuring a set of full-over-full bunks and a twin bed. Down the open catwalk overlooking the lower floor is the second upper-level bedroom, complete with a king bed, SmartTV, and access to a shared full bathroom with a walk-in shower.brbrOn the lower level, just off hte living room is a king bedroom with a SmartTV and a full bathroom with a tub and shower. Additionally, the sunroom just off the kitchen offers flexible sleeping with a twin-sized daybed and trundle, along with its own SmartTV.brbrAll bedrooms and bathrooms are stocked with pillows, linens, towels, shampoo, body wash, hair dryers, and hand soap.brbrLIVING AREA:brThe main living area is truly the heart of this home. With a massive stone fireplace, cozy couches and chairs, a woodburning stove, and a TV for watching movies and games together. This room seamlessly flows into the dining room and kitchen spaces, and outward to the sunroom as well. brbrThe sunroom, located just off the dining area, offers you both a sleeping space for two, or an additional area to relax, catch a game, read a book, or enjoy a quiet conversation. brbrKITCHEN/DINING:brOur well-appointed kitchen offers everything you need to make memorable meals together. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a gas stove, oven, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer, as well as a crockpot, coffee maker (full pot and Keurig), toaster oven, and blender. All dishes, glassware, cookware, and utensils are provided, along with a cabinet stocked with oils and spices. By Summer 2025 there will also be a propane gas grill on the front patio for outdoor cooking.brbrAdjacent to the kitchen, there are two dining spaces, one high-top table with seating for four, and a dining table seating 8. The kitchen/dining area also features a small wet bar with a wine rack.brbrENTERTAINMENT OUTDOORS:brStep outside your door, and the outdoor patio becomes an extension of your living room. Enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails while soaking in the views, or unwind in the hot tub. Get a fire going in the fire pit and make smores under market lights while the Angel Fire sunset blows you away. It's all here waiting for you!brbrENTERTAINMENT INDOORS:brWhen you're done exploring or playing on the slopes, head inside and build a fire. Need a little time for the grown ups Send the kids to the sunroom to pull out the trundle and watch a movie on their own smartTV. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.brbrLAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOM:brJust off the living room and across from the lower level king bedroom is a full laundry room for your use! You never know when your adventures might get messy, so we provide detergent to help you clean up.brbrENTRY/GARAGE/PARKING:brThe garage is not available for guest use, so head on to the patio and enter through the front door. Inside you will find rubber mats for dirty boots, a full closet for coats, and more. There is even a lovely little bench for sitting and taking your shoes off after a long day. brbrYou are welcome to park anywhere on the driveway you like, but please note we highly recommend you have a 4WD, AWD, or chains for your vehicle, especially in the winter, to ensure that you can get to the home comfortably.
