Like many areas of New Orleans, there are still places that have never recovered after Hurricane Katrina. Most of the homes in this neighborhood, like this one, have been lovingly restored, and others, like the one next door, are undergoing renovation or awaiting their salvation. One of the properties in this last category is the medical center/hospital that`s located across the street. It`s boarded up and fenced in and patrolled and lit at night to prevent problems. It`s nothing more than an eyesore we`re all used to, and we`ve never had any issues with anything associated with the property, but we believe it`s important to point it out so it`s not a surprise upon arrival.brbrYou`ll have access to the entire home and backyard during your stay. Make yourselves at home!brbrWe`re available by call or text, 24 hours a day, should any needs arise during your stay.brbrMid-City is the perfect location for a New Orleans adventure! Ubers and Lyfts are also easy to come by in this area any time of day or night. brbr***PARKING***: There is no parking available on the property, but there is free street parking on the street in front of the house and on the surrounding blocks. A new Thai restaurant just opened in 2026 next door to the house - Chada Thai. It`s an upscale place, and reviews so far are great! This may mean that parking directly in front of the house may not always be available like it used to be though, but all of the street parking on the surrounding block is free of cost.brbrAbsolutely no parties!brbrNew Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.brbr***There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***br1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.brbr2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. There are makeup towels provided for this use.brbr9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.brbr10. Pets are NOT allowed at this listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.brbr11.
