Nestled privately within our 15 acre Beachfront Compound is our Rental Home we call, The Guesthouse. This is a 4 bedroom beach-home built and designed by us to be comfortable and roomy while allowing guests to enjoy themselves on Long Island without breaking the budget ! Guests absolutely love the nice large kitchen with center prep-island, and everything you need to prepare a gourmet meal or a nice family dinner is there for you ! brbrAdjacent to the kitchen is the first of two large 14’ x 17’ screened porches containing a nice outdoor dining table ready for Six. The stainless steel propane BBQ grill is located right off the porch on the same level for easy grilling in close proximity to the kitchen. brbrThe Guesthouse also features a nice comfortable living room area with a couple of sofas and chairs along with a nice large flat screen TV and Blu Ray Player. The living room has a full size wet bar area featuring a full size refrigerator and double sink along with cabinets full of glasses….you can load this fridge up with ice, sodas, beers and other drinks and keep the kitchen fridge available just for food !brbrAdjacent to the Living room is the second large screened porch… one has another 6 person table and chairs for your enjoyment. brbrThe Guesthouse’s Four Air Conditioned Bedrooms each contain one queen bed, a dresser and mirror, large shelves and a clothes-hanging area. The two bathrooms feature walk in showers and plenty of hot water and water pressure! brbrWe've got Ceiling Fans in every room and they really move the air ! Normally there is plenty of that famous Long Island Breeze blowing through all the windows, but it’s nice to have the fans there for backup. Of course, all Linens, towels and beach towels are provided. brbrThe Whymms area, where we are located, is a mile off the main road and there are only a few other homes on our 2 ½ mile long beach, so this is a nice private and quiet setting. You can Walk the nice long beach out to Whalehead Cay…...Swim in the gin-clear waters or take the kayaks we have and snorkel around the small cays just offshore…maybe get a conch or lobster! Fish for bonefish right out front in one of the best spots on the island (shh, don't tell anybody!!!). Just 150 feet from the beach, you can walk out to the small little coral reefs that are there and look at the muti-colored coral and all the colorful fish swimming in and around the coral ......It's like having your own little salt water fish tank! The bay in front is fun to snorkel in and, even though it’s shallow, We've spotted octopus, conch, lobster, bonefish and all sorts of other stuff right off the beach in front.brbrNot only are we Super affordable but we are in a Great location !!!!! Our 15 acre property is located in a quiet area of the island and is centrally located between the attractions in the north and south making it a perfect place to be while visiting. We have almost 400 feet of ocean frontage on a 2 ½ mile long beach and spectacular ocean views that you will not tire of! Whymsical Wish Beach Cottage....Tranquility Finally Found !

brA recent Guest best described our Oasis:brWhat a stay… turned out to be one of the best vacations we have experienced. On holiday, we seek peace, quiet, rest, tranquility, and natural beauty. Accompanied by exploring and some adventure, this place is a gift! Long Island is Paradise found, and George’s rental suited us perfectly. It’s situated fairly centrally to explore the island. The beach and bay right out front was gorgeous and no one around. We really enjoyed long morning walks, shelling and marvelling at the beauty of the water (bring water shoes or tevas). We like to grocery shop and cook most our own meals and this house was very well set up for that. George was there to answer questions when we had them in his kind and warm ways…we felt very welcome, safe, and spoiled. The place was so quiet in fact, and the bedding so comfortable, we both marvelled at how well we slept during our stay. brWe would love to come back asap, and George’s place would be our first choice. brLong Island is Magical.brbrThis is a great vacation cottage located in a good island-centered location for touring the entire island ! Plenty of room for two people but can fit up to four with two bedrooms, each with a queen bed.brbrSet a bit back from your private beach area sits our TWO bed, TWO bath Beach House ...The ocean is at your doorstep ! Nothing between you, the water and the three mile long beach ! The cottage is spacious (864 sq. ft.) with Fully equipped kitchen and also a washer/ dryer. Two full baths with walk in showers, living room with TV, starlink wifi, A/C, complimentary use of kayaks and more. A VERY comfortable place to vacation. A great place to snorkel also with our own reef steps away from our shoreline.brbrThe Cottage is elevated so you really catch the trade winds. Everyone loves the screen porch in front since it gives you the view of the water and palm trees. Cocktails on the porch at sunset is popular !The kitchen is full size...not a little kitchenette...and fully equipped to prepare whatever you want to cook. It has Full size range and large refrigerator, microwave , blender, mixer etc....plenty of counter space !brbrEach cozy bedroom has a queen size bed and is air conditioned. A great place to relax after a day on the island. We also have a washer/dryer in the cottage for your convenience (and we'll give you the laundry detergent for free !)brbrBoth bathrooms feature large walk-in showers - Not cramped ! If you are like me you don't like fighting with the shower curtain ! And for further comfort we have Water Pik detachable shower heads ! It's all about making sure you are comfortable so you can truly enjoy your stay with us. Make yourself at home !brbrOther things to notebrSNORKELING: EXCELLENT RIGHT HERE ! We have our own protected coral reef just 180 feet from the beach. There are thousands of fish and other marine life that call this reef their home and it is just a short walk from your beach ! Very unique to have such a sight so close and convenient. In addition to the reef, the Bight offers other things to see as well including octopus, conch, starfish, crab, lobster sponges and more. And it’s all right here at your doorstep !brbrFISHING: Wemyss Bight is right in front and offers some of the best bone fishing on the island as well as other species. Walk the three mile long beach and try your luck !!
