No boat Griffith’s Wawasee Marina is just a short walk and can handle all your rental needs. You’re also welcome to use my 14 ft Old Town kayak and 12 ft Perception kayak to explore the water.brbrWhen you’re not out on the lake, the island’s green space is ideal for family games or a picnic. With minimal traffic, it’s also great for biking, walking, or running.brbrNearby towns—Syracuse and North Webster—offer great places to eat, drink, and shop, including some fantastic boutiques and antique stores. If you want to dine on the water, The Oakwood, The Channel Marker, and The Frog are all excellent choices after a day at Wawasee’s sandbar.brbrNow, about the house: it’s 1,000 square feet of smart, comfortable living. You can connect your laptop and connect to our internet service to watch whatever you want. brbrThe home is nestled on Boner lake and is also very close to two large, all-sports lakes (Lakes Syracuse and Wawasee). Public swim areas are available at the nearby lakes. Parking space enough for two cars is available on the circle. Please park so that you do not obstruct the circle road that the neighbors use or the neighboring driveways. While we want you to enjoy and have fun, this is not a house for wild partying. 10:00 pm is quiet time.brbrWe have two 14-ft, 3-seat canoes available to use. You must sign a release form prior to use. brbrWith regards to swimming in our lake, lily pads near our dock inhibit swimming off of our property. The best swimming spots in the area are the public beaches at Lakes Syracuse and Wawasee, which are very close. Our lake is a great lake for fishing and canoeing in the area.brbrFOR YOUR HEALTH AND SAFETY, we take extra efforts to clean and sanitize all surfaces in the house. We provide pillows and pillowcases, sheets, mattress covers and blankets. All bedding is cleaned and disinfected prior to guests' arrival. While you enjoy your stay with us, you will have direct access to pier space where you can park your personal or rented boat. brbrUpon arrival you will find a spacious front yard with a fire pit to enjoy those summer nights. When entering the front door, you will be greeted by the dining room, a popcorn maker & the bright white kitchen. The kitchen has all the basic necessities you need to make your stay enjoyable. brTo the left of the front door after you pass the entryway, you will see the bunk room. This room has 1 full on full bunk and 1 twin on twin bunk. It will sleep 6 people. Has a dresser and TV. The washer and dryer are also located in that same room. brbrBehind the front door to the right is a storage closet where you will find games for all ages, a 6 foot table & extra chairs. As you make your way past the kitchen there will be a full bathroom on the left. It has a large shower. There are extra towels & toilet paper in closet located in bathroom.brbrThe spacious living room has a large TV, fireplace, couch, loveseat & chair. As you look out of the back window, you will have a great view of the lake. Off of the living room is a bedroom with a queen size bed, full length mirror, closet, dresser & TV.brbrAs you make your way upstairs you will see another bathroom. It has a double vanity, tub/shower and extra towels in the cabinet. brThe master bedroom has a queen size bed, a futon, a chair, dresser, closet & TV. This spacious room has a great view of the lake. Directly across the hall you will come across the last bedroom with a queen size bed, a futon, dresser, closet & TV.brbrThe large back deck has a great view of the lake with outdoor table & chairs, a gas fire pit and a grill! Property has over 50 feet of pier space to accommodate your personal boats and PWC's. The Island provides over 1.5 acres of space to spread out and plenty of room for parking. It also has mature trees that provide ample amounts of shade on the west end of the island to help keep everyone cool as they enjoy the main channel during their stay.brbrGuests that stay at the Island have the opportunity to access almost every part of the property. The only place that will not have access will be the 2 car garage.brbrbrbrAbsolutely NO FIREWORKS PERMITTED on property!!!brbrbrbrBoat Trailers CANNOT be brought over the island's bridge as it will not make the turn. Please contact either Main Channel Marina or another marina in the area to store you trailer during your stay. brbrbrbrBring your boat and launch it at either public launch sites near the island property. There is a bridge that crosses over the Main Channel near the Syracuse Lake Public Access that is low to the water that limits certain boats from getting under it. Syracuse lake access accommodates ski boats, runabout boats, and wake boarding boats. Lake Wawasee Public access accommodates every type of boat with no bridges to go under.
