This includes water, milk, tea, coffee, sugar, wine, beer, soft drinks (if there are children in the party) and toilet paper. The tenants' information pack in the living room includes useful phone numbers, guidance for use of the appliances, TV etc, details of local supermarkets, restaurants and cafes, places of interest. A mid-stay clean is provided for rentals of more than 7 days.brbrAngie is contactable 24 hours a day and will act as an English/Portuguese contact in the event of an emergency. She will respond to all enquiries re the property and appliances, arrange car hire/taxi if required and can organise golf (with preferential discount) at local courses. She will check you out on departure, collect the keys and refund your security deposit. Check out is at 1200 unless otherwise arranged.brbrCar Hire: Most of the usual car-hire companies are represented at Faro Airport. However, for best rates, we favour a small local company called Algarve Rent a Car based in Almancil. Their representative will meet you at Faro Airport and your car will be waiting in the car park just across the road from the Terminal. When booking, please be sure to use the correct web address because there are others with very similar names! For preferential rates, remember to tell Alexandre Santos that your booking has come through the Villa owner, Roger Price, in Tavira. If you need to top up the fuel tank on departure, there is a convenient filling station on the roundabout just as you enter the Airport.brbrPlease note that since Jan 2015, all Rental Properties in Portugal must comply with approved Safety and Fire Regulations and to display an identification plate next to the front entrance. The house has one bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom, kitchenette and living-dining room (with an additional two full-sized single beds that serve the sofa during the day). There is also a private patio with built in BBQ and outdoor furniture. brbrThe house is located in a quiet part of the resort, surrounded by well-tended tropical gardens where you can roam freely. Just a 2-minute walk from the shared pool, tennis court, bike hire, mini club, playground, outdoor fitness area, bars, restaurants and reception. brbrThe resort adjoins Barril beach, on the Island of Tavira, originally a fishing station housing approximately 80 fishermen and their families during the tuna season from April to September. The old houses have been tastefully converted into bars, shops, eateries and washroom facilities. The beach has enjoyed the blue flag award for many years. Sun loungers, umbrellas etc. are available for rent on the beach from Easter through to the end of the summer season. There is also a water sports center with sailboats, hobie cats, kayaks, windsurfs and pedalos available for hire during the summer months. Barril beach can either be reached on foot, a leisurely 10 minute stroll along the causeway through the nature reserve, or by miniature railway, the train runs 365 days a year and provides a non-stop service throughout the day (free train passes are included with the rental).brbrIt is less than 2km to the nearby fishing village of Santa Luzia with some of the best fish / seafood restaurants in the Algarve. brbrTavira is a 5 km drive away (there is also a public bus service from the resort) and is a wonderful historic town with highlights including the castle, Roman bridge, central square, old market and camera obscura. brbrFor golf lovers there are several courses just 15-20 minutes by car from the house.brbrThe property has been inspected and complies with Portuguese fire and safety legislation. Our Tourism of Portugal registration number is 297 / AL.brbrThis property is ideally located within the holiday village, in a quiet area just a hundred meters from all the resort activities and facilities. The beach is within walking distance and you are on the doorstep of a nature reserve. Access to the apartment is by stairs, with a street entrance and a private apartment entrance on the second floor. The internal décor has been recently refined combining a wonderful mix of old and new characteristics, where modern tiles rest against traditional combined with polished wooden floors. From the entrance hall, enter the heart of the apartment with rooms radiating from every angle. A dining table features as the focal point, where the hallway melts into the lounge with its elegant furnishings and riverside window views with sunbeams bouncing from the river and illuminating the room. 3 bedrooms are neatly positioned at each point of the triangular building design, adorned with traditional furniture and feature fitted wardrobes, sharing a large walk-in, glass paneled shower room, with large mirror and attractive features.
