There's secure parking for your car on the gravel drive and a bistro style table with a couple of chairs where you can soak up the sun and listen to the birds. The closest town is Saxmundham where you'll find supermarkets, independent shops, restaurants and The Bell Hotel. There are a number of country pubs nearby, including The Chequers in Friston and, if you'd rather walk and meet some of the locals you can try the Benhall and Sternfield ex serviceman’s village social club in School Lane. One small dog is allowed to stay.

Surrounded by fields and woods this is a secluded location but within walking distance of two excellent local pubs. The front of the house is the original Victorian Cottage but at the back a new extension has been added with a spacious contemporary kitchen, dining room and further living area and boot room providing comfortable and well designed family accommodation. The Suffolk Coast is a short drive away, Aldeburgh and Snape with their famous cultural amenities and other charming villages and towns such as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick. This is a wonderful location to explore East Suffolk with Framlingham with its famous castle also short drive away. Extensive National Trust land nearby includes Minsmere bird sanctuary, Dunwich and Westleton heaths and walks from Snape to Aldeburgh make this a perfect place for a walking or cycling holiday. There are numerous excellent pubs and restaurants and lots of places to visit including Woodbridge, Orford, Orford Ness and the fabulous archeological site and exhibition at Sutton Hoo.brThe main house comprises a light and airy front drawing room with direct access onto the garden, further large study/sitting room with wood fired stove and sofa bed. You have a private parking space for one car and others can park on the road in front of the house. br brSaxmundham is a great base for exploring the Suffolk Coast and Countryside with colourful Aldeburgh, the magical village of Thorpeness and the beautiful Sizewell beach just a 15-minute drive and, to the north, picturesque Southwold with its iconic pier and Lighthouse. brbrThe centre of town is just a short walk through the park (with a playground to keep younger guests entertained!) and has numerous independent shops, a weekly market, a train station with regular service to London, plus a couple of supermarkets. brbrThere are plenty of restaurants, pubs and cafes to try, both in and around town or a short drive away. You can also visit Snape Maltings; the concert hall is world-renowned and, in addition to the music festival in June and the proms in August, there are many other concerts, exhibitions and events; plus fantastic shops!
