There are a number of country pubs nearby, including The Chequers in Friston and, if you'd rather walk and meet some of the locals you can try the Benhall and Sternfield ex serviceman’s village social club in School Lane. The front of the house is the original Victorian Cottage but at the back a new extension has been added with a spacious contemporary kitchen, dining room and further living area and boot room providing comfortable and well designed family accommodation. The Suffolk Coast is a short drive away, Aldeburgh and Snape with their famous cultural amenities and other charming villages and towns such as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick. This is a wonderful location to explore East Suffolk with Framlingham with its famous castle also short drive away. Extensive National Trust land nearby includes Minsmere bird sanctuary, Dunwich and Westleton heaths and walks from Snape to Aldeburgh make this a perfect place for a walking or cycling holiday. There are numerous excellent pubs and restaurants and lots of places to visit including Woodbridge, Orford, Orford Ness and the fabulous archeological site and exhibition at Sutton Hoo.brThe main house comprises a light and airy front drawing room with direct access onto the garden, further large study/sitting room with wood fired stove and sofa bed.
