Adjacent to the cottage are the grounds of the old mansion house with parkland, a lake and arboretum which is part of the National Tree Collection of Scotland. There is also an award winning tearoom, serving home baked cakes on the estate if you fancy a treat!brbrThe peaceful village of East Linton, about a mile away, is within walking distance of the cottage and has several local amenities including two pubs (both serving food), a café, a supermarket with cash machine, local butcher and a chemist. Just some 6 miles’ drive away is Dunbar, with a traditional high street with a local baker, fishmonger and butcher as well as supermarkets, local shops and galleries and eateries.
