Our property next door to the 1807 Williams Home & Smith Cottage, the 1784 Denison Home, offers 5 guest rooms, all named in honor of these five vessels at the Mystic Seaport. The Carriage House, our newest offering behind the Denison Home in Old Mystic, has rooms themed after historic people of the time. brbrAlso, Mystic is home to Clyde's Cider Mill, the oldest steam-powered cider mill in the country. (The dock is shared, so is not available to guests.) brbrThere are three entrances - up historic stone steps to the “front door” which opens into the main room or up to the covered porch which leads through wide glass doors to the kitchen or up the long driveway right to another set of wide “on-grade” glass doors. There is also a dedicated on-site parking space. Throughout, upside-Down light filtering cellular shades provide exactly your degree of privacy while allowing in light and view. Flooring is ceramic tile with area rugs.brbrThe kitchen: Just renovated, the kitchen is well equipped with all you need to comfortably prepare meals. Quartz counters top white shaker cabinets and stainless steel appliances (glass-topped range, oven, microwave & dishwasher). Service for eight dishes, flatware, glassware, wine glasses plus assorted pots and pans, cooking utensils, myriad storage containers, even herbs and spices. This private apartment is ideal for couples, solo travelers, or small groups who want to explore the beauty and history of Mystic. House is walking distance (1 mile) to downtown Mystic, including to the famous movie Mystic Pizza as well as 20 minutes from both Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun Casinos as well as many other local attractions including Mystic Seaport, Mystic Aquarium and Jonathon Edwards Winery. brbrThis 1 bdrm/1 bath apartment can accommodate 4 adult guests. The bedroom has a queen-sized bed, dresser, and closet. The bathroom is brand new and has a walk-in shower. The living area has a bar style eating area for 4 with smart TV and a sofabed that sleeps 2 (450 lb max). There is also a futon that can fold out and fit one-split the kids up if you desire they'll thank you for it! Bed linens and pillows are available for all beds. The kitchen is full sized and has all standard amenities. You can also enjoy your meals outside on the patio with a view of the yard where you can relax and enjoy the wild animals that often shows up in the yard (deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits etc!)brbrA washer and dryer is downstairs as part of this unit and is available, please just let me know.
