A lovely large 6 bedroom house, converted from the old village car repair shop, into a characteristic holiday home, including many fine features. There is a large glass floor area in the kitchen, filled with an array of seasoned logs, a lounging area complete with one entire wall of glass, as well as multiple balconies on the first and second floors.brbrWe have 3 good sized double bedrooms, with 2 of them having private balconies, one twin room, and two single rooms. There is also a full size cot for a baby. There is a bathroom on each floor - 3 floors in total. The dining area has a large oak table, which seats 10 persons.brbrThe house has been completely renovated, keeping as much as the old original characteristic features, such as wooden floor boards.brbrThe house is situated in an elevated position, close to a beautiful lake (500m walk) a riverside bar and another cafe and ice cream shop (200m walk), and a small supermarket selling the best chocolate croissants freshly cooked each morning (200m walk). Also close by walking is a fantastic pizzeria (450m) and Sterk restaurant up on the hill (650m) both with seating and lovely views across the river..brbrA little further, within 2km walking is the train station + restaurant. Here you can take the open top car train through the mountains to Lake Bled. There are also a couple more bars as you walk around the lake. brbrParking for 3 small cars (see photo) - 15 metres of drive. The drive is a little steep (see photos) and you may have trouble parking on this drive if you have a low level sports car. There is also parking for one further car on the House behind.brbrWe have a lovely 8 seater fired wood hot tub, however this is NOT AVAILABLE DURING JULY AND AUGUST..(and must be booked in advance for bookings of a week or more) but you can use the lovely lake close by to cool down. Please note this municipality has silence rules after 22:00 outside. Please bear this in mind if you are a large group as you are not on a Tourist resort! It consists of the first floor and the second floor, which are connected by indoor and outdoor stairs. On the first floor there is a hallway with two bathrooms and a living room with kitchen, while on the second floor there are three bedrooms, which are also accessible from the outside balcony. Each room has its own exit to this spacious balcony. There is also a nice terrace with garden furniture in front of the house, which will provide you with pleasant moments of socializing. In addition, there is also a small playground for the children. The house owner lives nearby and can suggest recreational activities and give you information about the region and sights worth visiting. The Soca Valley offers various activities: skiing, hiking, cycling, mountain biking, paragliding, swimming or fishing in the Soca River. The Soca River is known for its emerald green color and is ideal for canoeing and rafting. The location of the cottage is an excellent starting point to discover the rich history of the Soca Valley and its natural and cultural attractions. The majestic mountains, Tolminka gorges, Poloska Cave and Dante Cave, the confluence of the Soca and Tolminka rivers and the Most na Soci lake are only a few minutes drive from the house. In the surrounding area there are many excellent restaurants where you can taste the tasty local cuisine. In summer you should visit the mountain pastures where the best traditional Tolminc cheese of the region is produced.
