Sitting on the verandah with a glass of local wine, the light glistening on the ocean and the sound of native birdsong in the air, you would never believe that you were only 40 minutes from downtown Auckland.brThe lodge has 5 large bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, two living rooms, a home-office, swimming pool, hot tub and even a private 20 minute nature walk. It has it all, making it a wonderful spot for family holidays, getting together with friends, corporate getaways or luxury retreats.brThe property was designed by renowned architect Leon Bieldt and construction was completed in May 2022 meaning that everything is brand new. Every element has been thoughtfully considered for quality, functionality and environmental sustainability.brKaitiaki means guardian and the lodge is designed to fit gracefully into its natural surroundings. Powered by a solar array on the roof and with a state-of-the-art water capture and treatment system this is a luxury experience with a small footprint.brUpon entering the house you are greeted by a stunning interior by Two Birds Design. With sustainable materials throughout, the interior fuses dark natural tones with a huge amount of light coming from the floor to ceiling windows at the front of the house.brOn the top floor you will find the main living area, kitchen and the master suite. brThe kitchen is state-of-the-art with Fisher and Paykal appliances, induction and gas hobs, large fridge freezer and an espresso machine. There is also a new webber gas BBQ by the pool for Al Fresco dining.brA carefully considered bar area and large kitchen island gives you a great social space that flows into the rest of the living area.brA large custom-made dining table seats 10 comfortably and the bespoke wrap around sofa takes advantage of the magnificent views over the native bush and the ocean beyond.brOutside the living area is a large entertaining deck with lounge furniture, huge automated awnings to keep the sun off and a fireplace to keep you warm on colder nights.brAlso on the top floor is the master suite, complete with a stunning bathroom and breath-taking views of the forest and ocean beyond.brTo complete the top floor there is an office area with a dedicated desk space and a small water closet.brHeading downstairs you reach the guest suites. At the bottom of the stairs is another large lounge area with an amazingly comfortable bespoke sofa and a large smart TV. The large open plan kitchen/dining and living areas have a gabled ceiling and large sliders that open onto decks on both sides of the house, giving a great sense of space - and options no matter what the weather. The designer kitchen and butler's pantry make catering easy and enjoyable. Plus both the indoor and outdoor tables can seat at least ten. brbrAs well as the living area downstairs, there is a TV snug upstairs - great for the kids, or for watching sport! brbrThe master suite is downstairs, with fabulous views across the lawn to the bay. It has a spacious walk-through wardrobe and ensuite, which opens onto a courtyard. brbrUpstairs, alongside the media snug are three further bedrooms. Bedroom two looks north across the valley and out to Oneroa Bay, and gets great all day sun. It has an ensuite and walk-through wardrobe. Bedroom three has stunning views south out to the gulf. This shares a bathroom with a spacious twin bedroom. brbrWith a lovely spa & swimming pool, a large outdoor entertaining area, a flat lawn, a great media room and a pool table, this really is the perfect spot for families!brbrIdeally located just minutes from Oneroa Village, the main centre of Oneroa with fabulous cafes & shops.  Little Oneroa Beach is just a 9 minute walk away, and has a great playground, as well as a good fish & chip shop!  Within 10 minutes drive are lots of other award winning wineries, restaurants and beaches.  brbrEach stay incurs a $380 charge for quality linen, towels and exit clean so you have nothing to do but relax, refresh and enjoy.
