Stayed Apr 15, 2024Being expats living in the US, this home, its surroundings and the town of Joure brought back all those wonderful feelings from our early years. If I could, I would make it our permanent home. Wonderful!

Stayed Jun 1, 2023Beautiful, well maintained home, perfectly situated with the Frysian Lakes within reach. Very well equipped and very well maintained. The farm across the water contributes to the country side feeling and the horse back riding on that farm gives it all an extra dimension. When we come back to the Netherlands, we will definitely stay here!

Stayed Apr 19, 2023We absolutely loved our stay in this house. The property overlooks a canal and the views were amazing. We were there for the Dutch holiday at the end of April and saw a parade of sailboats and motor boats drifting along outside our windows. We woke to the sounds of birds (ducks and geese) and watched the horses train in the farm on the other side of the canal from the house. The property itself was beautifully appointed. The baths were gorgeous and the beds were comfy. I can’t say enough about our stay and Karen was very helpful with recommendations for walks and things to do in the area. We will be back!

Stayed Dec 23, 2022Next to a horse property separated by a canal. Lovely boats floating down the canal. A modern lovely home in a beautiful rural setting. Hosts were wonderful even picking me up a Christmas tree that was there when we arrived. New hot tub and sauna that both burn wood was a great plus! A wonderful home for a family to cook dinners and play games…

Stayed Nov 14, 2022We visited in November to spend some calm days out of the city. The spacious house and garden are well set up and maintained. The living area with the wood stove is very comfortable and cozy. In general, there is great attention to detail with everything. Communication with the host was very friendly and uncomplicated. Thanks again and hopefully we can come back sometime!
