Stayed Mar 19, 2026The villa was lovely and the views were beautiful. I gave it a lower rating because of the lack of accuracy on how remote it was. On Expedia, it claimed it was a 3 minute drive from mistico hanging bridge park, 5 minutes from the wellness park and so on. However, there was nothing even remotely close within 30 minutes. Also, there was no mention that breakfast or dinner was to be pre-ordered. We arrived thinking we would be able to have dinner but the restaurant was closed. I asked about breakfast and was told it was from 7-9. When we went to the restaurant, it was not open. When I messaged, they replied I could pre-order. By then we were ready to just go to the nearest restaurant. Their replies were quick but this information beforehand would have been appreciated as my husband is diabetic and needs meals at regular intervals.

Stayed Jan 9, 2026Clean, staff/owners were wonderful. The view was spectacular. The road in was not for the meek, but beautiful. 4wheel drive would be good, but expensive in Costa Rica. The food was delicious.

Stayed Feb 25, 2026Dahana was excellent in responses and timing and the directions were clear and concise. We learned that timing is everything. It was still rainy when we arrived, but cleared up a little by the next day. We took hot showers because we were wet and chilled and it created humidity in the room for the evening and we had to stop water from entering the room with a towel at the front door. Otherwise it was cozy and comfortable. I was able to stash our suitcases under the bed, which was necessary because it's a very intimate space. The grounds were nice and we were able to enjoy outside seating for a while. Some things to note: There are two ways to get to this property. GPS kept trying to take me one way, but I had read reviews and the instructions from the host were for The Springs Resort way. This is the better route. Unless you have a 4x4 and clearence and you enjoy offroading (which we do at home all the time). You will want to go the way that the instructions send you. Also, it takes a while to get there and back to town. Planning for only half a day away was our mistake. We did the sky adventure in the morning and would have gone to the thermal pools after, but didn't pack things for that, so we ate and went back to our room. So far though, I had my best nights of sleep there. We had the place to ourselves and that was a blessing.

Stayed Nov 28, 2025If you want a quiet, isolated camping type experience, this is the spot! Roof over your head, cold AC, washroom and outdoor tub with an unbeatable view of Arenal. Expect bugs if you leave the window or door open too long - that end up dead on the floor in the morning. Communication: Dahana was fabulous, spoke English and quick to respond with any issues.Location: 45 mins from La Fortuna - 30 of it is very rough terrain - 7km of rock / dirt that absolutely needs a vehicle with high clearance. We rented a Kona and we bottomed out a couple of times. GPS can take you a couple different ways - ALWAYS opt to plug in “The Springs Resort” then Ecoglam - more paved road. No data either so start gps while on wifi before you leave - and take it slow. But WORTH the drive.Room: Spectacular view of Arenal - if clear. We lucked out one of our 3 nights (end of Nov / rainy season) where it was clear to see it. Otherwise fog and clouds killed the view. Clean sheets, bed super comfortable, hot water (enough to fill the private outdoor tub), fridge, microwave and coffee maker with fresh ground coffee. We ordered their room service one night and the food was good - but otherwise bring food. Could also use another couple towels - the dampness doesn't allow them to dry. But to be fair, we never asked for more.Very cool experience that we’d recommend.

Stayed Nov 8, 2025Absolutely loved our stay here. We had an amazing view of the lake and volcano. Loved the hot tub to relax in. So happy to have the option to get breakfast, which was delivered to your room. Great contact with host. Yes the road was very rocky and long but worth it for the views you get here. We would stay here again.

Stayed Oct 12, 2025The host was very attentive and helpful. The property was beautiful. Incredible view of the volcano and a nice tub outside to relax in. The location was further away than we would have liked from the activities we were doing and there is about a 20 minute drive on a dirt road leading to the house.
