Villa With Private Pool, Lake And Mountain Views

Amazing extensive views. Lovely welcome pack, milk, meat, eggs, water, bread and two lovely cold beers. Clean, comfortable beds and plenty of towels, although bring sun lounger towels. Wifi excelente. No air con but plenty of ceiling fans and extra fans provided. Loved pool, small and not deep at either end. Loungers adequate. Porch shade good, with dinning table and chairs, lounge seating would have improved this, updated parasols also. Owners just happened to be on site in the villa behind during part of our stay, they were absolutely lovely and completely unobtrusive yet extremely helpful when we had unforeseen problems ie sandy pool after heavy rain. We have visited many villas in the mountain areas of Andalusia, the narrow approaching roads were some of the best we have encountered. Arkwright supermarket 10 mins drive away was excellent, really well stocked and opened on a Sunday, slightly limited fresh veg, no fresh meat but a butchers a few doors down. Bakers across the road, amazing, a few cafes but we didn’t visit them. Our only negative for a 2 week stay was the small fridge with small freezer space which was inadequate for our needs. We spent two weeks here and loved it. This place is all about the pool and it’s incredible view over the mountains and lake. Breakfast out on the terrace every morning was a real treat, and watching the sun set with a glass of wine - perfect. The house itself is compact, but was just about ok for us with two children (8 and 5). We cooked at home fairly regularly and the kitchen was well equipped. The only downside for us initially was no air con - so do bear it in mind, especially if you are travelling with very little people! We arrived and it was well into the high 30’s - it was a struggle! But we got some pretty effective and cheap fans at the huge Eroski supermarket in Vélez-Málaga (25 mins) (we didn’t really use Arkwrights the Brit shop which is very close). Beautiful, quiet beaches within driving distance, amazing seafood. We also did a wonderful overnight trip to Seville (2.5hrs away). Well worth the journey! This is a peaceful, remote little spot that we didn’t want to leave! We miss it already.

We loved the property, we have been to a few villas in the area now but this is among the best! The views are amazing and it’s lovely and quiet. We will definitely be back!

You would never get bored of the view the villa has, walking out onto the terrace in the mornings was just stunning. Only issue was water being switched off last couple of days by the local authority, there is a back up tank but the pump stopped working. Tony the emergency contact did come out swiftly to try and fix it. If we went back to this area I would certainly book again!

We loved everyday of our stay in Villa no 9. The villa was well equipped, with everything we needed, as well as stunning scenery to wake up to. The pool was perfect for our needs and all was very clean. Local restaurants and shops a 5 minute car journey away which supplied all our needs. The beach was only a 20 minutes drive away too which was perfect for days out! Would add that an appropriate vehicle is needed for the steep single track road approaching the villa. We had a lovely holiday here, a real home from home. The villa had everything we need and more. The kids especially loved the pool table! We found some lovely restaurants near by but to be honest we didn't go very far as it was so lovely there!!

We had a super week at this very clean and excellently maintained villa. Set in the hills the views are stunning. All we needed was provided for, including a great welcome pack. The place was extremely secure, which was very reassuring, and if we returned late at night, the place was not in darkness because of security lights and solar lights in the delightful plants that adorn the villa. Highlights for us included visiting the nearby water park and paddle boarding and kayaking on the beautiful lake, with breathtaking views just a short car drive away. I would have preferred a bigger pool as just 8 strokes of forward crawl got me to the other side, but the rest of my family were happy with it, and we all had great fun splashing around. Fantastic holiday in a lovely villa. The area has lots to do and the villa is in a peaceful location with lovely views. Would return.
