Stayed May 26, 2025Filomena deserves to be a super host. She is attentive and friendly - and always available. She was incredibly flexible on checkin and made sure we had all the information we needed about the property and the surrounding community. The villa is gorgeous and even nicer than the photos demonstrate. We will be back!

Stayed Jun 17, 2024My family and I just returned from a 3 week holiday where we had the absolute pleasure of staying at Villa Iris. Let me first start out by saying that Filomena was amazing! Communication was quick and easy, and she made us feel so welcomed and cared for from the moment we booked. The villa itself is beyond beautiful!! The pictures do not do this place justice and hardly shows just how large it actually is. We immediately felt so comfortable, just as if we were back home. As a large group of 10 people (8 adults, 1 child, 1 infant), we had enough space to roam and lounge - both indoors and outdoors - without being in each others way. We had absolutely zero complaints our entire time staying there. The grounds and pool are clean and very well kept. We loved being surrounded by the luscious greenery and florals and spent the majority of our time outdoors. One of the benefits of this location was how peaceful and quiet it was during the day. The rooms are spacious with lots of closets/storage space. The upstairs rooms had their own terraces where you could sit and enjoy the views and tranquility. The drive to town was short, and you’re able to find everything that you need. Also a short driving distance to a lot of the main tourist areas such as Alberobello, Monopoli, and Polignano a Mare. We already miss the villa so much and can’t wait to return to this paradise! We love you Villa Iris!

Stayed Aug 6, 2022From the very beginning, Filomena had excellent communication. She was very helpful in connecting our family to places in th region to enjoy! She suggested a car which wax very helpful but a dicey drive as th area is remote. The roads are incredibly narrow. But it was in fact the best way to get around. The Villa Iris is very charming. The living room was spacious as was the outdoor space. They take j very good care of the property and we in kind did the same during our stay… Thank you Filomena, husband and son for your wonderful hospitality! Ciao Bella!

Stayed Jun 19, 2022The villa is beautiful. If anything, better than it looks in the pics. The rooms are very spacious and the outside area and swimming pool are spectacular. The kitchen is a little small, as everyone else has commented, but it really doesn’t matter as there is an outside kitchen, a BBQ and a pizza oven outside. We had a wonderful time there. The local town, Castellana, has all the shops we needed, and a Lidl was only 15 minutes away in the next town. Going down to the sea at Polignano Al Mare and Monopoli took about 30 minutes by car. You certainly need a car there as Castellana, the nearest town is probably 15 minutes away, although we found a pizza restaurant within 10 minutes who did carry out and the excellent pizzas were surprisingly cheap. Indeed all the places we visited, with the possible exception of Polignano, were extremely cheap for Italy Both drinks and restaurants The owner, Filomena, was amazingly helpful. She came to Bari at the beginning of our stay to lead us to the villa, arranged taxis for some of our guests who left early and even took our last remaining guest to the airport atth3 end of our two week stay. A couple of, very minor, problems with the villa were sorted immediately I would highly recommend the area, the villa and the helpful owner
