Stayed Dec 28, 2025This is an incredible vacation destination for a group of friends or family. Spacious, clean, with an incredible chef and onsite manager. We had a range of ages from 10-78 and everyone loved and enjoyed it!

Stayed Dec 24, 2023Our family, which included 4 generations, enjoyed another amazing week at Villa Violeta in December 2023. The location, property, views and service were once again superb. The meals, prepared by Mario and his team were varied, delicious and healthy. Yesika is personable, attentive and responsive to our needs. I highly recommend Villa Violeta!

Stayed Jan 2, 2023We had family ranging from 10yo to teens to adults and we all had an incredible time! The view is out of this world, the beach is a dream. The property is beautiful and comfortable and very special. The Chef, Mario, and staff were so great and the food was amazing. Yesika (property manager) was super helpful and knowledgeable about all the things. The wifi was out and we had no cell service, which was a little anxiety provoking but ended up being a nice shift with our group as nobody was on their phones. This could be problematic if you actually need access to the internet. One thing to note is that washer and dryer are listed under amenities; however, you can't do your own laundry on property but Yesika will take laundry to town to have done. We would absolutely go back.

Stayed Dec 26, 2022Our 3-generation family stayed at Villa Violeta for a week and loved every moment of our time there. The property is accurately depicted in the photos, but what the photos don't capture is the serenity of the location and the exceptional staff. Yesika (property manager) does an outstanding job leading the team and Mario (chef) prepares excellent and healthy meals, always with a broad smile and friendly word. Our group spent alot of time at the beach, hanging out, playing spike ball, riding the waves. We saw whales almost every day from the property. We ate all of our meals on the beautiful outdoor deck and practiced yoga each morning on the yoga deck. Enjoyed cocktails on the sunset deck. So many opportunities to be outdoors and enjoy the sunshine, warmth and amazing views. Guests should know that the approach to the property is on a long and rutted dirt road, for which a suitable vehicle is a must. To illustrate our enthusiasm for our experience at Villa Violeta, we were already discussing a return trip before we had even left there. Each of us, ages 3-82, is very enthusiastic about returning to this piece of paradise.

Stayed Jul 2, 2022We were a family of 11 at this special property, from 8 months old to 80 years old. Everyone enjoyed this special stay, surprises and all. First the good: the service is amazing, and the food indescribably good (thank you, Mario). Freshly-prepared, authentic Mexican food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner is unlike anything you would ever be able to encounter at any resort. It was a highlight, as were the amazing cocktails. The beach and ocean were also remarkable. Fine, white sand, no seaweed, and water warm enough that we found ourselves spending 2.5 hours in it without realizing how much time had passed. The architecture and layout of the property are also lovely and very private. The road to the property could be seen as a bit of a shock, but many of us within the group saw the road as a feature.. how fun is an Indians Jones style road to paradise? Now for the stuff we weren’t entirely prepared for and didn’t care for: bugs. All manner of insects, crawling and flying, of spectacular sizes, menaced us at all hours of the day. Granted the bug situation is seasonal and dependent on factors like rain, it was brutal. Add to the bugs intense humidity with limited air conditioning. Damp nights, fleas and crabs finding their way atop mattresses while we slept, and suffocating heat made bedtime our least favorite part of everyday. We let the older folks sleep in the air-conditioned rooms while the rest of us braved the environment like New World settlers. The property is constantly undergoing renovations, and the owners are spending large sums of money to keep things looking fresh and up-to-date. That said, it’s a large property that’s privately-owned, so one should be flexible if all areas are not equally renovated at all times. Overall, we were very happy with the stay (all of us) and we enjoyed being together in such a unique and private space. One final note; there are only two properties on the beach, but the beach can be used by others farther up the hill. One family of expats who lives farther up the hill came by a few times and wanted to socialize with us. Nice people, a little quirky for sure. We also took a day trip to Sayulita and enjoyed driving through the town of San Pancho. Thank you to everyone at the villa for having made this trip (nearly) perfect.

Stayed May 13, 2021Myself and 9 friends came to Villa Violeta to celebrate my 26th birthday... we had no idea what was in store for our trip. This place is AMAZING. I literally cannot describe how perfect and wonderful our time was. The service at VV is unbeatable ... every morning started with mellow pool / yoga time and fruit + coffee, followed by an amazing spread of whatever Mario had imagined up; chillaquilles, chorizo and eggs etc. in the afternoons we’d hit the private beach just steps away and staff would bring down fruit, beers, margs, mezcal shots you name it. Kayaks, snorkels, boogie boards, frisbee golf, tanning, cards etc. Dinner was something new every night and Mario even made me a special cake for my birthday :) I’ve never had such a special week with my friends and couldn’t even imagine how spectacular this place would be. Yesika, the property manager, would coordinate all our hearts desire. Boat trips, massages etc. she was constantly communicating with us and helping us with all our needs. We even took a few trips to the cute local town San Pancho and shopped and ate there. Villa Violeta is the epitome of privacy and beauty without the hassle of a hotel. The house offers the option for a secluded relaxing zen experience with your loved ones or a fun and energetic time celebrating with your friends. We certainly had both and the staff was able to accommodate it all! Will certainly be returning. So many thanks to everyone at VV who made our wonderful time possible.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We could not have been more thrilled or happy with our incredible stay at Villa Violeta. We booked as a group of 15 girls for a bachelorette and from the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were in pure heaven. The villa is completely remote in a beautiful lush jungle. With a private beach, and infinity pool and perfectly executed local authentic Mexican food, there is no reason or need to leave this oasis! Cynthia & Yesika are excellent to deal with. Informative, professional and kind as can be. The staff at Villa Violeta made our stay. The chef is a must, the food prepared was nothing short of delicious. They take care of you from morning till night! We were so grateful for such a relaxing, welcoming and beautiful place to stay. THANK YU!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969There was a spectacular view from every unique perch on this fabulous property! We had a small group of ladies... a girl's trip who stayed for a very relaxing week. Some of our highlights included the amazing service of the concierge, Yesika, and the entire staff. Colorful, mouth-watering meals were served on delightfully dressed tables with freshly made margarita's, ice-cold Corona’s and aqua fresca juices with views of the secret beach, Pacific Ocean and lush jungle. Lazy days sunning by the pool on the pineapple express raft, drinks served poolside and more views. Numerous decks dotted around the property with lounge chairs... our favorite spot for our happy hour/sunset aperitif we fondly named the sunset deck where we enjoyed other-worldly sunsets -- pink / orange sky's, dramatic clouds and the Mexican air force of Pelicans soaring by us at eye level -- and of course, cocktails and great photo ops! There was plenty of space for us to spread out in the various different bungalows all with amazing views, nicely decorated -- some with outdoor showers/tub -- comfortable beds, soft linens, robes and toiletries as well as fresh water decanters and tropical flower arrangements. We also enjoyed a day hike through the jungle to the North for a beach visit to Playa de los Muertos and an evening out in Sayulita rubbing elbows with the interesting locals and tourists alike. A tropical holiday at Villa Violeta or its sister property across the beach are not to be missed... book it now!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This is where you go if you want privacy and care. The house fits everyone great and the staff takes care of your every need. There is nothing ostentatious about the house or the service, which is exactly what makes it excellent. Yes there are bugs. Yes you can't flush toilet paper. But, you're waking up with yoga (if you want) and being served pitchers of fresh pina colada's without even asking. I can't say enough about the incredible team that greets you. Can't wait to be back!
