Thank you for looking at our holiday home in Lanzarote that delivers a private holiday in a tranquil and relaxing setting. Far enough away from resorts to be a total chill out destination with sea and mountain views and private pool & gardens. Close enough to resorts to access bars, restaurants, supermarkets and beaches when desired.

Villa Shibui offers a dream location for your holiday and is a tranquil 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom detached villa and is set in very beautiful and generous 360 degree wrap-around south facing mature gardens, meaning full day sun in any part of the garden is always guaranteed. From your terrace and pool area you will enjoy unbroken views out onto the softly undulating volcanic mountains and sea views of Lanzarote, down to Arrecife and it’s “Grand Hotel” and even across to the golden sands of Fuerteventura! And best of all your garden and pool area are totally private, not overlooked, gated and surrounded by a wall and colourful Hibiscus hedging for complete privacy, peace of mind and relaxation.

Villa Shibui also offers it’s own private all year-around heated pool (6mx4m) and multi-purpose second garden to the rear that can be changed into a fabulous 9 hole private putting green or else revert it back into a separate chill out garden space with benches and recliner seating.

Lanzarote is an ideal location for families & couples and offers everything from getting away from the rat-race to the other extreme of Iron Man, Biking, Hiking and Triathlon training and events for the more active! And on your days out there’s so much to do and to see. Just a short drive away are a plethora of activities from Sunset Dolphin boat rides, Catlanza for a great Catamaran experience & Submarine trips, Jet Ski hire, and 4x4 Off road buggy experiences. And culture must-visit trips have to include Jameos Del Agua, Cuevos Verde, the stunning moonscape of the National Park of Timanfaya, the wonderful landscaped Cactus Gardens and finally visit a bodega and follow the wine trail in Lanzarote’s very unique La Geria Region. And all within a 20-30 minute drive! We also highly recommend visiting and learning of Lanzarote’s famous artist and “father” Cesar Manrique with visits to his Foundation and to his Home in the pretty village of Haria, set in the valley of a thousand palms. And don't forget to visit the famous house of Omar Sharif by day at Lag-o-Mar and again at night for the atmospheric Cueva Bar and restaurant for some fab dining, you can walk here from your doorstep!

We know we work hard for our money at work and know you do too. We do something very different to many other Villa and holiday companies. Our weekly rate is static across the whole year meaning we don't ask for more money across School holidays and other peak times such as Easter and Christmas. Our flat rate across the year is our unconditional commitment as we know how unfair these extra charges and higher prices are.

The Location

Far enough away from the tourist areas to ensure tranquillity yet the resorts & supermarkets are easily reached within a few minutes´ drive. In fact the ideal positioning of this villa means you are close enough to experience all that the Island has to offer in a very short time. A trip out to the many Lanzarote must-see tourist sites are also within easy reach from your Nazaret base with it’s location being central on the island. The beautiful Lag-O-Mar Museum House & Restaurant is a must visit and is within walking distance – a house built into a lava bubble formed around the same rocks from which it was built with natural labyrinths and caves, and bought In the early 1970s by actor Omar Sharif when he came to Lanzarote to film “The Mysterious Island”.

With Villa Shibui’s Private Pool you will be able to do all the splashing about your heart desires without leaving home, but for those days where you fancy feeling sand between your toes there are beautiful beaches also within a short drive away in Costa Teguise, Orzola, Arrieta, Famara, Puerto del Carmen, Playa Blanca and even the Capital Arrecife.

And dining out is no problem too. Nazaret boasts 3 restaurants and for a 25 minute slow walk (or a 5 minute Taxi or Car drive) the old Capital of Teguise has quiet bars and restaurants tucked away in quaint cobbled streets. There is also a very busy and vibrant market in Teguise every Sunday. Again hop in the Car or order a reasonably priced Taxi and many more shops, restaurants and bars are close by in the family resort of Costa Teguise.

The airport is a 15-20 minute drive away

Taxi companies are reasonably priced in Lanzarote but to get a true feel of the island and for the larger Grocery Shop we find Car Hire is desirable and driving in Lanzarote is easy and not expensive. Geography

Lanzarote is located 11 kilometres (7 miles) north-east of Fuerteventura and just over 1 kilometre (0.62 miles) from Graciosa. The dimensions of the island are 60 kilometres (37 miles) from north to south and 25 kilometres (16 miles) from west to east. Lanzarote has 213 kilometres (132 miles) of coastline, of which 10 kilometres (6 miles) are sand, 16.5 kilometres (10 miles) are beach, and the remainder is rocky. Its landscape includes the mountain ranges of Famara (671 metres or 2,201 feet)[2] in the north and Ajaches (608 metres or 1,995 feet) to the south. South of the Famara massif is the El Jable desert, which separates Famara and Montañas del Fuego. The highest peak is Peñas del Chache, rising to 670 metres (2,200 feet) above sea level. The Tunnel of Atlantis, the largest underwater volcanic tunnel in the world, is part of the Cueva de los Verdes lava tube.
The Island of Eternal Spring,Lanzarote has a subtropical-desert climate according to the Köppen climatic classification. The small amount of precipitation is mainly concentrated in the winter. Rainfall during summer is a rare phenomenon and several summers are completely dry without any precipitation. On average the island receives approximately 16 days of precipitation between December and February. Sometimes, the hot sirocco wind prevails, causing dry and dusty conditions across the island. Average precipitation in June and August is less than 0.5 millimetres (0.020 inches). It closely borders on a tropical climate, with winter means of 18 °C (64 °F) and summer means of 25 °C (77 °F).

Geology
Lanzarote is the easternmost island of the Canary Islands and has a volcanic origin. It was born through fiery eruptions and has solidified lava streams as well as extravagant rock formations. The island emerged about 15 million years ago as product of the Canary hotspot. The island, along with others, emerged after the breakup of the African and the American continental plates. The greatest recorded eruptions occurred between 1730 and 1736 in the area now designated Timanfaya National Park

We stayed in the villa for three weeks and loved it. It has everything and more that you could need for a perfect holiday and is very private and peaceful. The owners couldn’t be more helpful and answer any questions you may have about the villa and Lanzarote.

Richard and Jacqui were great hosts. The holiday began before we landed with them advising us on places to visit, etc. They also helped us with car hire. When we were there they checked on how we were settling in, checking that everything was ok. Giving recommendatios for restaurants, etc.We had the perfect break and will certainly return.

Richard and Jacqui are the loveliest people I've had the pleasure of speaking too. It was our first time abroad as a family so was quite apprehensive about the whole thing. Richard and Jacqui gave us so much information to help, from what to expect at the airport to all the shops, bars and places to visit. They didnt mind all the questions I asked them and replied quickly. The villa was just beautiful. It has everything you need and more. The pool was enjoyed every day and was a big hit with our teenage boy. The welcome pack on arrival had everything you needed for a day or two. The surrounding area is lovely and quiet with views of the mountains and sea. When we come back to Lanzarote we will be staying here again. Perfect for us.

Before arrival the contact with the Villas owners Richard & Jacqui is second to none with an array of info, advice, hints and tips on making your holiday experience that little bit better before you even get there. On arrival the Villa was exactly as stated and the welcome pack which was catered for our individual needs was present and was a very nice thing to have to hand. The villa is very well located and yes a car is needed if you want to go out exploring. Pretty much any where you need to go is a short drive away and the local shop is well stocked with the main essential items. However with a ten minute drive the larger supermarkets are available for those seeking and good old stock up on the food, drinks and everything else. Which leads me to the villa its self. Home from home is an understatment. It has everything and more you could ever need. The BBQ was amazing and worked perfectly. We were spoilt for choice where to sit or lay in the villa grounds. The pool and gardens were outstanding giving us plenty of privacy. Unfortunately we had some pretty bad and unlucky weather during our stay which caused a minor issue within the villa but with a text message to Kate the Villa manager who was amazing i have to say, it was resolved quickly. Question remains, would we stay again. Absolutely yes. We could not fault the Villa at all and the communication between us and Richard & Jaqui was outstanding. On a personal note to you both... Thank you for everything you did for us.

Garden is a lovely, green environment to enjoy the pool with lots of space to catch the sun and shade at different times of day. Wonderful views. Hosts were lovely and kept in touch before and after arrival and providee lots of helpful information. Highly recommend.

Great views, really good pool and outside area with plenty of seating and 3 outdoor tables! Clean, secure and peaceful. Lovely villa. Well equipped kitchen. Need a car, but most places of interest are within a 30 to 40 minute drive. The local restaurant seemed to shut a lot but the next village is just a five minute drive, with restaurants and the market on Sundays. Hosts were great, made sure we had everything we needed, especially as we got to the villa quite late - the welcome pack was very welcoming!

We were delighted with our week’s stay at Villa Shibui. Communication with the owners/hosts was first class. The outside area was very secluded and peaceful with great views, a heated pool, well kept gardens and even a golf putting area! Location in Nazaret was ideal with a small shop nearby for essentials and we could get around the north of the island with the use of a hire car. We would have no hesitation in staying at Villa Shibui during any future visit to Lanzarote. Many thanks! John & Elaine

Home from home but with great location, views and wonderfully warm/heated pool. We loved it here, 10-15 minute drive to nearest resort so often went out for tea but retreated to the veranda at the property for gorgeous sunsets with a view that topped any other lication
