VILLA PENARD VAISON LA ROMAINE

This really a perfect place, quiet environment, clean, having all comfort you would wish, very nice owners, who live nearby. All you can wish for to have a pleasant vacation. The pool is great, outdoor kitchen, shower and toilet very handy. All in all indeed a ‘coupe de coeur’

This is absolutely the most perfect place to stay. The house is lovely and spacious with all you could wish for. The beds are great and the kitchen has everything you need. Outside there's the swimming pool, although a bit cold in spring, it's still wonderful to have one large enough to swim some laps. The garden has all kinds of different spaces to eat and relax, with wonderful views, such as the Mont Ventoux that can be seen from the garden. The neighbourhood is lovely and quiet, but at the same time it's near the town centre where you can find shops and restaurants. Vaison is a beautiful town, with lots of history. Further away there are so many interesting places to visit, you won't be bored.Finally, Nadia and Pierre are lovely hosts. They live next door and always available for help or advice. Thank you so much for letting us stay in your wonderful house!

This is definitely one of the best stays I had in Europe and the US! Beautiful roomy 4 bedroom house with fully equipped kitchen and outdoor grill. Very nice pool in the backyard and lot's of terraces, shaded and sunny. And all this in a beautiful French region (Vaucluse en Drome Provencal) were one can bike, hike and enjoy local villages and its weekly markets. Will try to be back next year and see the nice owners again (Nadia et Pierre).

The moment you enter their beautiful villa it feels like home. We as a family with our parents and 2 girls aged 6 and 8 have more than enjoyed the Villa. The villa is very nicely maintained and well laid out and super clean. Nadia and Pierre are very welcoming and helpful. In summary, We will be back again!

The villa was clean, spacious, well equipped, had a lovely pool and was in a great location. The owners Nadia and Pierre who live next door to the villa were friendly and very helpful. The only downside of the holiday was that construction work on a nearby new property was taking place and work begun promptly at 7.00 am every week day morning!

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Villa Pennard with my parents and children (age 7 and 5). The house is beautiful and finished/ furnished to a very high standard. The range of different seating areas to eat/ lounge was fantastic and well thought out. The swimming pool is one the most beautiful, clean and well maintained pools i've ever used. It was plenty big enough for all 6 of us at once. The location was wonderful. The surrounding area is very quiet and peaceful and a 20 minute pleasant walk into Vaison. The owners live next door and were lovely, even bringing us fresh tomatoes from their garden! I would certainly stay again as the house, pool and location were all perfect. In fact i wish i was back there now...

We were together with our 3 daughters, their partners and 1 child. The weather and surrounding of Romaine La Maison was fantastic. But our stay in the Villa Pennard was more than we expected. The interior was good quality, practical and very complete. Everything we needed was there. Nadia and Pierre, the owners, are very nice people and we had a good contact with them. We had an fantastic holiday in their villa and for a quiet family vacation we recommend their villa.

We just spent a fantastic week at Villa Penard in Vaison-La-Romaine, as a family of 6: 2 grand-parents (who used the bedroom and bathroom on the main floor), 2 parents and 2 kids (who used the 3 bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor). We had a great time. Here is what we loved the most about the house: * The owners Pierre and Nadia are very friendly and helpful, and live next door. They truly did their best to help us have a great stay. For example, it was nice to wake up on the first day (after a late arrival the night before) to realize that there were some Nespresso coffee pods available, so that we could make some coffee prior to going grocery-shopping. One day Nadia brought us some fresh cherries they had just picked up in their yard. Another day we had some relatives come over for a pool party, and Pierre came in the morning to check and inflate all the pool toys, and even brought us more so that the kids could have fun. * The house is immaculate and made of high-quality materials. * The neighborhood is very quiet: we slept with our windows open, and did not hear a thing except birds and crickets (and there were no mosquitoes to spoil the fun) * The pool is large, very clean, beautiful, and our kids loved the inflatable toys. * The covered patio is very nice - we ate all of our meals there in the shade, enjoying the fresh air. * The house is well-equipped, with all needed appliances (washing machine, dishwasher, coffee makers, microwave, outdoor electric plancha/grill etc...), linens, towels, lounge chairs etc.. * The house stayed cool even on hot days. * Vaison is only a couple of kilometers away (about 3 to 5 minutes by car) and has ample free parking - handy to pick up fresh bread and croissants at the bakery in the morning, or to go to the market on Tuesday and Satuday morning. * Lots of activities nearby, such as visiting Roman ruins in Vaison and Orange (impressive theater), visiting Provence villages like Seguret and Gigondas, hiking (or biking) in the Dentelles de Montmirail above Gigondas, wine tasting etc... If you saw the movie A good year, the actual square and restaurant were scenes of the movies were shot are in Villedieu, about 5km away from the house. * Other activities, a little further away: doing a day trip to Avignon, visiting the amazing replica of the Chauvet cave (prehistoric cave paintings), canoeing down the Ardèche river etc... We highly recommend Pierre and Nadia's house, and hope to come back soon
